Anyway, now I'm home and they are on the road and I have to survive TWO WHOLE WEEKS until we are together again........

So, today's been a DAY.
* The a/c is broken - which would probably explain the $160 power bill this month. The sound of running water all night is NOT relaxing. It also runs ALL THE TIME, even when it's off. *facepalm* The maintenence guy is pretty cool... he's definitely getting his excercise today, as we're on the third floor. He thought it was fixed, but now it's not working AT ALL. *sigh* Granted, I'm not a fan of air conditioning anyway - I blame Disney - but, still. I'd turn the fan on, but I'm afraid of a year's worth of crap flying off the fanblades :)
* Finally caught up on The Dreamer.
* Dumped the stress on midnight_burn, who took it like a pro. My thanks. *smooches* GOLD STAR!!
* The brother is on an OT-mission. He's got shifts here, there and everwhere.
* Possibly having dinner with kseda and her mom tonight
* Steve is plotting for future-The Guardian fic most of yesterday and today. TIMELINES, Steve... seriously.
That said, I'm around.. just avoiding saying the wrong thing at the wrong time, etc. That's been getting me into trouble this past week. Also, having troubles remembering that today is Friday, not Saturday.
EDIT 1: The a/c is fixed.
EDIT 2: Do you have any idea how entertaining it is to look down at the phone, which rings Topeka by Ludo (aka the theme song for Twister City) and see kseda's name? Anyone? Bueller? \O/ I'm off to Friendly's. Back in a bit!

- Only Johnny Depp could make John Dillinger into somebody who you not only like but actually feel sorry for!
- There is something about going to the cinema on a weekday afternoon that feels vaguely...illicit (not quite the word I was looking for but it's the best I can come up with in this heat).
- I thought we were supposed to have rain/storms today and that it would start to cool down?
- I fail at being a fangirl because I only realised when I saw a Radio Guide this morning that the new Torchwood series starts on Monday...
- I have a very pretty glass dragon with purple wings that Mum bought for me at Hastings last week on my windowsills and the sun is shining through it, casting patterns on my bed.
- Knitting is very relaxing (I hope you're all aware that you're getting knitted socks and scarves and wrist-warmers and things for Christmas, right?).
- The weather is doing crazy things to my skin.
- I actually have a bit of a tan.
- Going through this weird phase at the moment where I don't want to be indoors but I don't especially want to go anywhere either.
- Could really do with a holiday but can't afford one in either time or money.
- My Race For Life is at Blackheath this Sunday. I may be freaking out slightly about this.
- The sun is shining which is lovely. It is, however, reflecting of the ghastly metal-clad monstrosity that's directly opposite my bedroom which is not so lovely.
- I may have a new fandom in Primeval. I found myself looking at the dvd's in my local Smith's this morning and lamenting the fact that I can't afford them...
- I blame a certain person for the above fact. You know who you are, so don't bother denying it!

* Actor Presnell Dies I know he was on The Pretender, but I remember him from Face/Off and Lois & Clark. He also played a Q.
* Talked to the grandparents this morning - Grandfather was having trouble with the Jumble and called Mom. Mom called me. I thought she was crazy and called Grandfather to double-check the letters and I was right. There were two Ns, not two Ms. He says that the word we've both come up with isn't in the dictionary, but it's the only one that fits. I open it up to you, f-list:

Of all the recent deaths, this one saddens me the most.
Actor Rubes Dies
Veteran actor Jan Rubes has died, aged 89.
Rubes passed away on Tuesday. His cause of death was unknown as WENN went to press.
Born in Czechoslovakia, the star found fame in the 1940s as an opera singer and won first prize at the Geneva International Music Festival in 1948.
He furthered his career by moving to Canada before branching out into acting.
His most noted role was opposite Harrison Ford in 1985 film Witness, which was nominated for eight Academy Awards and won two.
Rubes was also a TV star, appearing in shows including The X-Files, Due South and Stargate Sg-1.
He is survived by wife Susan, two sons and three grandsons.
Crystal Skull has always been one of my favorite episodes seriously, George... Stargate did it better than Indy. National Treasure 2 also did it better. But, you're George Lucas and it's Indiana Jones, so...
Also, Jan and the ketchup bottle in D2 was always kinda WIN! :)
In other news... my great uncle would have been 86 today. He was the first family member I remember dying... and that was, well, I don't even remember how long ago it was. If there was a Bob Evans around, I'd so be there... having PIE!

Been watching season 1 of Charmed for the past few hours. Sooo good. Piper and Leo are so cute!! And Prue and Andy.. angst, much? Love them. ♥
About to watch Buffy "Restless" now. Gotta love the Cheese Man. :D
