Howdy everyone! Long time no snap! How have you been? Me, I'm fabbity fab and all things happy, so it occured to me that I should do another photo project (yes, complete non sequitor, I know, thank you). What's up this time around? Well, this is the time of year when the seasons are a-changing once again (for those of us in climates with 4 seasons, anyway), and up here in the northern hemisphere, spring is springing all over the place. And me, I love spring, it's my favorite season (or at least one of my 4 favorites!), so that's the theme of our little project. Show us what Spring means to you. (If you live down south, you can do Autumn instead if you'd like.) This can be new flowers or buds on trees or other sorts of flora. It can be those flipflops you finally get to wear outside again, or the tank tops you're digging out of the bottom of your dresser. It can be children and puppies and fluffy little baby ducks, or the clear blue sky, or the thermometer reading 72, or rain and umbrellas and jumping in mudpuddles. It can be daffodils or the dirt you've tilled up in your garden. It really doesn't matter what it is, just show us images that remind you of Spring. As with our previous projects, please post at least 5-10 pics. You can post many, many more than that if you would like, because we do so love the pics. Please tag your entry with the tag "project 8" so I can make a handy-dandy linky sidebar. I'm setting the deadline for this project at the end of the month, so you've got 4 whole weeks. That should be plenty of time to get out there and get some good shots, so I don't want to hear any excuses. Any questions, lemme know. I have all the answers. Now go take some pictures!

It's spring, and my garden is beautiful! It's been helping me exercise and work up my stamina as I slowly, slowly recover from all my electrolyte problems. So, here are a bunch of pics: A tulip that sunsplashbarbie sent me. Thank you!!! Squirrels got a few, but they are lovely.

Hi guys. Nothing has been posted for awhile. I thought I would post the pictures I took at Christmas during sunset. I experimented and it's mainly shadows and sun. You know me though...I'm bound to take something less conventional. ( The rest are under the cut cuz there's more than 5 )Enjoy! E...we should have another challenge soon or something.
Hiya, picspammers! Did ya miss me?
Yeah, yeah, great, thanks. Moving on . . .
I've been thinking about this for a few days (and forgetting to actually do it), and now here it is, the long-awaited Project #Whatever-the-heck-number-we're-on!
The project is: Decorations
Specifically I'm thinking of Christmas-type decorations, though they can be from any holiday, winter-related or otherwise. I don't know about you, but I love me some pretty decorations, and I want to see as many as possible!
So, if you have decorations up, snap a few shots and let us see them! Or if you want to show us some decorating traditions from your family, brilliant. Or if you want to show a time-ography of decorations past and present, that would be just plain awesome.
Also, if you see some pic-worthy decorations while you're out and about, whip out ye trusty camera and go at it.
I want to see any and all decorations you feel like taking pictures of, so get to work!
I would really love for EVERYONE to post even just one picture. Five is our normal project starting point, but really just give us as many as you want. Since I know this is a busy season for everyone, I'm setting the deadline for January 1. That's three whole weeks, peeps, and it only takes a few seconds to take a picture, so no excuses!
Again, please tag your projects with (*looks up #*) Project 7 so we can link it up.
Now, let's see some pics!

I totally thought I would post pictures here all the time. I mean, I have like 5,000 of them. I experimented on Thanksgiving with lighting and colors. I thought I'd show you fellow picture takers. There's the obvious red effect but this one has the most emotion...even if he wasn't looking at the camera. That's my cousin. ( I'm following the rules and putting the rest under the cut )

Two weekends ago I went to Santa Fe, New Mexico, to visit a friend and took some pics. Conveniently, it also works as a very late entry to Project 6. Most of the pics are from the Tent Rock area, which is very impressive, if you get a chance to visit. ( Lots of pics. Not at all dialup friendly. )

Life's been teh suck lately so I'd figure I'll post some pictures of our favorite trips just to cheer myself up. Someday we'll be able to afford to go on big trips again. Someday...

I haven’t done a single project. Shame on me, I know. But I have loved all your guys entries – I mean, I obviously love picspam! :o) So…because I’m feeling a bit of guilt for not having done one single project, I’ve decided I’m going to do one pic of each project. Hahahaha Yeah I’m fully aware that’s pretty lame, but whatever. ( So here we go… )And believe me, I’m going to be able to do a full 5-ish pics on the dream house project. I’ve got loads of those around here…

Hey Guys! Have any of you seen anything interesting besides the inside of Deathly Hallows over the past couple weeks? :P I know the fabulous miss_elisha is concentrating on that high maintenance pain in the butt - Real Life - at the moment, but I wanted to see if you guys would be up for a little mini-project. Do you guys drive around your town and look at a certain house (or houses) that make you sigh and say, “If only the Quick Pick strategy would work” and you could win the lotto and buy said house(s)? Well I want to see your dream houses. And if you’re one of the few lucky ones to actually LIVE in your dream house – then I wanna see that too! If you’re comfortable with it, that is. Ok, happy dream house hunting! :o)

miss_elisha: FYI
Wow, slacker, okay.
I just stopped by to let you all know (well, those of you who aren't on my f'list, as my f'list already knows), that I'm stepping away from LJ for a while--not permanently, just for a few weeks or so--so I won't be around to post projects and pics and other picspammy goodness in the very near future.
Please continue to post your own picspammy goodness, either for one of our projects or just whatever pics you want to show off. And if someone would like to post a new project, have at it, I say!
I'll try to have something good for you when I come back. ; )
Have fun, and keep piccing!

Here are the pics I took from my summer vacation to Disney World
It's time now for the long-awaited Project #6! What's up this time? The project is travel. I'm giving you two slightly different options on this one. You can either post pictures of somewhere you have traveled, say on vacation or even a business trip, OR you can post pictures of things that have to do with traveling, such as airplanes or suitcases or even cars. Or you can do both. Whatev. Now I know you've all got vacation pics, so I want to see some posting!
As always, please post 5+ pics for your project post, this time featuring travel. Still a two-week time frame, so the deadline for this project is Monday, July 23. (If I remember, I'll do a reminder post a few days before the deadline.) Please tag your project posts with "Project 6" for easy access.
Also as always, you can still post your pics from other projects at any time. Or any other pics you want to post. Really. We're all about the picspam here at Gratuitous Pics.
Happy shooting, shutterbugs!

Yes, I am a slacker. No, I have not been around LJ much in recent weeks. Yes, I do have pictures of animals for Project #5, and yes, I will be posting Project #6 momentarily. Keep your boots on. But for now, tons o'aminal pics! Yay! There's about a bazillion under the cut. See for yourself.

I would like to preface this with I have no talents with animals. Sammy the Way Out Seal makes an appearance in Santa Barbara

The fact of having a three-year kid means that I've been to a lot of zoos and aquariums. So for that reason I'm not going to post any animals I saw behind a fence. The closest to a zoo are animals from farms, but they run mostly wild anyway. Here it goes: ( 12 pics under cut )

I got all excited from this challenge because I have so many water pictures. I think it must be because I am an Aquarius. Vancouver, BC This was taken from Granville Island. ( More under the cut )

I had a whole fun idea planned out for this project but my schedule unfortunately got in the way. So I decided to look at what I had and realized that I had a gazillion photos of water as I love taking water photos...I swear I'm an earth sign but I apparently love the water that much more. Enjoy my water pics!

Here are my pics involving water. I already had a ton of old photos on my hard drive with water in them, so I'm just posting them instead of taking new ones I really like them.
I'm a busy, busy girl, so today's project post is short and sweet.
The project is animals. This can be a your pets, some animals you see in a zoo, wildlife you see on a nature walk, farm animals, bugs, birds, elephants, whatever. Heck, I'd even say you can post pictures of stuffed animals if you want. *shrugs*
As always, please post 5+ pics for your project post, this time featuring animals. I'm giving you two weeks, so the deadline for this project is Monday, July 2. Please tag your project posts with "Project 5" for easy access.
Also as always, you can still post your pics from other projects at any time. Or any other pics you want to post. Really. We're all about the picspam here at Gratuitous Pics.
Happy shooting, shutterbugs!
