GB is doin' it

| 'King Vision ' is in my hot little hands right now. The new record drops Tuesday, January 29th, but it looks like Amazon broke street... or whatever. It's $8.98 on Amazon, for you cheapskates... | comments: Leave a comment |

| So... I contacted Fighting Records to find out where the new record is, as they posted on their MySpace just a few days ago that today was the release date for 'King Vision'. Here's the reply I received from John at Fighting Records:
he CD was delayed one final time until Jan. 29th. We're in the process of updating our various sites. However, you can pre-order the disc (it will ship immediately upon order so you can get it before it's in stores) here:

Thanks for your support! And sorry about the confusion...

| | Living in Pittsburgh is the man. I got to go to the CD release party for King Vision last Friday, and King Vision was for sale. I got it BEFORE it came out, for 5 bucks, AND got it signed by Jackson and Lord Grunge. That's right. I'm gloating a little bit. | comments: 3 comments or Leave a comment |

| I was wondering if anyone here had a copy of any of the following titles, and if so if they could provide me with a copy. To the best of my knowledge, it's all out of print or self-released and no longer available. I'm not into stealing music from the bands I love, I just want to get my ears on more of their material. I'll also gladly pay for shipping costs.
Karaoke - Jackson's Collection A Night of Laughin! Volume 1 High Grabber Either of the Height guest spots the Bloom remix Anything else you might have that's no longer available.
I do have an original copy of Scrooge McRock, an original copy of 'Circuits of Steel' and then all the other 'regular' releases.
OH! Also, any of Jackson's solo stuff... he's posted a lot on his myspace, but its not available for download and i want some dog years (dog problems?)!
Any help would be great! Thanks! | comments: 6 comments or Leave a comment |

| GRAND BUFFET 'side project', Cobalt Black (aka. The Four Seasons Boys) has FINALLY released an actual song!
It's called 'Drunk Tank' and its got a kind of 80's rock vibe, like a less punk Social D or a less metal Eagles of Death Metal, with Gene Ween vox.
Still, not bad, and any new GB is good GB.

| There is now a community for passing along the latest release dates.
your_releases focuses on sharing street dates for music, movies, video games, comics, etc. Mainly media content.
I'm tired of digging through site after site to find out when so-and-so is releasing their new album, or going to the store only to get home and find a new email about some album that came out today that I didn't even know to look for.
So to remedy this searching, I've decided to start a forum for it. Which means I'll now be digging for release dates all the time! That's where you come in. If you know of some really interesting item that is going to be released soon, let everyone know! Or if you're just interested on what to spend your mortgage payment on, come find what you cannot live without!
and if you know someone that would be interested in such a community, please promote! or if there is already a community like this, then let me know and i'll join that and shut up.
Thanks!

| Grand Buffet is making another stride towards worldwide fame... they have an article and a song included in the new issue of CMJ NEW MUSIC Issue 134.
'Things That Go Hump In The Night' is included on the sampler, and GB are featured in the 'in my room' article.
this is the first time i've seen them in a national publication... anyone know of any other mentions in print? | comments: 2 comments or Leave a comment |

| FIVE YEARS OF FIREWORKS! its finally in my hot little hands.
2 Discs... one is a sort of 'greatest hits' disc, the other a DVD... havent checked out the DVD yet, but the disc is interesting. interesting in that all but one of the tracks are previously released. supposedly the tracks are remastered, although i dont hear it. the label sticker says that this is their 'first retail release' or something to that effect, so maybe thats why they chose a greatest hits format, to initiate the uninitiated. i was hoping for a 'Dicer' like disc (or even 'Fox and Gorilla' - the childrens' album they have been working on for ages.) the track list is :
1. Benjamin Franklin Music 2. Oh My God You're Weird 3. Candy Bars 4. Pink Deadly 5. Americus (Religious Right Rock) 6. Murderfuck 7. Double Crazy 8. Things That Go Hump In The Night (Ultimate Remix) 9. Cool As Hell 10. 1000 Percent 11. Matt and Nate 12. You're on Fire 13. Birdwater Highway
the last track being the new track.
another very strange change on this disc is the inclusion of LYRICS! very fun for long time fans!
anyway... more updates after i dig through the DVD. | comments: 4 comments or Leave a comment |

| FIVE YEARS OF FIREWORKS IS HERE!!! JUNE 7TH!!
After a whole bunch of horseshit, blood, sweat, and tears, FIVE YEARS OF FIREWORKS is complete and being shipped to stores as I type this shit. An action-packed CD/DVD combo which should be readily available in stores in most major cities. If for some reason your local spot doesn't have it, they should be able to order it. OR, if they're coming on some misdemeanor shit and won't do that for you, you should be able to buy it at all major online retailors.
****
amazon has it for something like $13.99... i ordered mine from bestbuy.com for 11.99 i think... i'll review it once i recieve it.
they also added a TON of tourdates. if you live anywhere that is not near where i live, then they are coming soon... unfortunately, they are skipping new mexico again. | comments: Leave a comment |

| all things GB. since they keep their secrets secret and their personal lives personal, we'll have to dig deep for all the hottest info you ever heard about the greatest hottest hot hotty hip hot rappers this side of Greenwich...
start the ball rolling by stealing text directly from their website:
NEWS (brought to you by your boy Lord Grunge)
DVD IS DONE, MAN! THE GODDAMNED THING IS DONE! AND IT COMES WITH A CD! JUNE 7TH!
JUNE 7TH, you motherfuckers! ONLY IN STORES! Go to your local spot where you buy shit and tell those cunts that they BETTER have FIVE YEARS OF FIREWORKS in stock when you and your sundry crew of thugs and nerds return on the 7th of June. It should be available for real, for the first time, in most stores. Probably not in most of the huge chains like Best Buy and shit, but all mom and pop spots that sell music ought to be able to get it, as well as some of the chains (probably Tower, Virgin, spots like that). I can honestly say I'm really pumped about this joint. The CD's got some of our old smashes, all remastered (and sounding TIGHT) plus new material. The DVD has tons of live footage, interviews, and MORE! And this motherfucker will be PRICED TO MOVE! | comments: Leave a comment |
