Back to America

New community
Hey guys, I've recently been speaking with Emma, the old maintainer of this community, and although she gave me permission to take over the community, I found it easier to start a new community with a completely new style etc. The name is nz_lolita. Membership is open and I highly encourage introduction posts when you join. I've modded the journal style so that it looks pretty and is easy to navigate. The community will also have affiliation links with oz_lolita, so hopefully members of the Australian community will also be able to get in touch with us more easily in regards to sales etc.I'll soon be starting DIY tutorials, monthly themes and various info posts, so if you could all mosey on over to the new community, that'd be great. This comm will stay open for the moment, but all new posting should take place over at nz_lolita.Thanks a lot - if any of you have any comments about the style or anything that should be added to the new comm, just let me know. |

Hello all NZ lolitas! I feel a bit stupid for ignoring you guys for so long..I didnt know this community would take off as well as it did! We now have a new moderator who I am sure will do a MUCH better job than me, soo keep up the posts and organising the meet-ups and I am sure I will get to meet some of you eventually! Have fun!

Buying a loli dress of trade me may sound like a bad idea, trust me it is a bad idea. You are better off spending your money overseas. If you are going to buy in NZ or on trade me i would make sure you see how legitamate they are first and ask, were they are sourcing the items from. I make mistakes, so you don't have to....T_T

Although I'd like to have it in Palmerston North, I think turnout will be better in Wellington. ![[info]](http://p-stat.livejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif){kind=small} ddr_bunnie has suggested Martha's Pantry, and since we didn't get to go to Simply Paris last time, we have that option as well.A good day might be Sunday, June 3rd, as it's International Lolita Day :) The weekend before, June 26-27 would also work. Any other suggestions? What works for people? |

LOLI EXHIBITION IN THE AUCKLAND MUSEUM~!
There's going to be a Loli exhibition in the Auckland Museum round about mid September possibly called (they're still deciding on a title), Loli-Pop: A NZ perspective on the Japanese Youth and Fashion Phenomenon It's going to be about the pyscho-social aspects of lolita (In short what it's like to be loli and why we're loli) and general stuff about loli fashion. Bevan wants help from us NZ lolis so please contact her and ask her about the exhibition! She needs more feedback from us~~~ This is totally legit (c'mon Auckland Musuem!!!) and doesn't it sound exciting??? Martha's Pantry, perfect place for any Wellington loli's planing to meet up.
Has any one been to Martha's Pantry near the top of Cuba on Koro drive(i think it is, well the beginning of the bypass anyway), it is totally adorable, i highly recommend you check it out. They have high tea and pretty china, it is a little hard to find, no signs or anything. Will post photos when i can find my camera charger.
