Community Profile

This community, which was originally set up for a previous year's Convergence (the annual North American net.goth convention) is a near-duplicate of another comm, convergence.

gothconvergence has been receiving spam of little interest to the members, probably due to the word "goth" in the name. Because of the missing-in-action status of the original maintainer, whom both LJ and I tried to contact, the spam could not be deleted or controlled. Finally, people who are on both communities had to double-post to reach everyone, and / or had to see double posts.

For these reasons, this one will be phased out.

All posts are moderated as of August 16, 2009.

Current members are advised to move their membership to convergence, which is where the action is (minus the "goth"-related spam).

Once this community is mostly cleared out, I will contact the remaining members who are not on the other community and invite them over.

Eventually, I will leave this comm inactive, with moderate membership. Anyone asking to be added will be directed to the other comm instead.

If there is anything here which you feel needs to be saved / archived, feel free to do so at this time. If you need help with this, please contact the maintainer. I have no intention of deleting the comm, but I can't guarantee that it won't eventually be reaped.
