The Goth Eucharist, Cambridge UK's Journal

Hi. Long time no see to most of you. Can I just check about dates of any GEs in October? It's been some time since I've made it to Cambridge, but I do hope to make it more regularly from next month.

Goth Eucharist tomorrow
The goth eucharist will take place tomorrow at 8.30 pm at st Edward's. Malcolm Guite will talk about 'Shelley: Ghosts from an enchanter' and there will be lots of exciting music from the Cure, Rammstein, VNV Nation and others. Hope to see you there!

Goth Eucharist Tonight
July's goth eucharist will take place today at 8.30 pm at st Edward's.
Malcolm Guite will talk about 'Leonard Cohen: Songs of Love and Hate'
and Mr Cohen will also be supplying all the music for the service. Hope
to see you there!

Goth Eucharist
June's Goth Eucharist will take place today (3rd) at 8.30pm at St Edward's. Malcolm Guite will talk about 'Christianity and Astrology: what planet are you on?'. Malcolm will talk not just about astrology but about the old "arcane" symbolic systems, the planets, the spheres, the gods and godesses, the tarot etc and how far they are compatible with Christianity. There is no Calling on, so pubbage wil probably follow :)

Next one will be the 1st of July.

Don't forget, Gothic Eucharist tomorrow (Tuesday). 8.30 start, with Fraser Watts preaching on self esteem.

Goth Eucharist
April's Goth Eucharist will take place today (8th) at 8.30pm (note earlier time) at St Edward's. Malcolm Guite will talk about 'Fantasy Combat? Unmasking the Powers'. The service will feature VNV Nation, Pink Floyd, Die Krupps, some Russian Monks, and a song about Monkeybats.

The next few dates are May 4th, June 3rd & July 1st.

Goth Eucharist future services
For the next few months the Goth Eucharist will be just once a month, not
every fortnight, and it will start promptly at 8.30 pm. (Not 8.45)

The next one is on Tuesday April 8th when Malcolm Guite will talk about
'Fantasy Combat? Unmasking the Powers'.

The next few dates are May 4th, June 3rd & July 1st.

Service
The next Goth Eucharist is tonight (11th)at st Edward's 8.30 for 8.45.
The theme is the Passion, with Malcolm Guite will be preaching. Music ranging from The Mission to U2. Hope to see you there!

The Goth Eucharist will be tomorrow (26th) at st Edward's, 8.30 for 8.45. Malcolm Guite will be preaching on Art and Pornography.

This week, Andy Swindells will preach on Global Humanity.

The next Goth Eucharist is tomorrow (15th)at st Edward's 8.30 for 8.45 and it will be Bowietasic seeing as the theme (and er the music) will be David Bowie, oh yes. Malcolm Guite will be preaching. Hope to see you there!

GE this evening
Goth Euch this evening. Subject around Christmas, entitled "The Dark Time of Year". At Christmas God dares to share and indwell our darkness, so that we can share and indwell his light.

Do come along, music will be of the usual range, including Bob Dylan, Pink Floyd, VnV, and more.

After the service we plan on having an informal meeting to debate the future of the GE - ways to revitalise it for the New Year - from publicising, to addressing the structure. Do let us know it you have ideas/comments/suggestions.

Goth Eucharist tonight, 8.30 for 8.45 start.

Theme will be "living with the dead". Sermon by Fraser Watts. He will be talking about grief, bereavement and the sense that the dead are still with us. Music to range from Smashing Pumpkins to Cure to Sister of Mercy.

Goth Eucharist is tomorrow (23rd) at St Edward's Church, 8.30 for 8.45 start. Continuing the theme of 'Sword and Sorcery: Fantasy and Spirituality', tomorrow's sermon will be 'The Gospel According To Gollum' and we'll be exploring the redemptive role of weakness.

Right everyone, its that day again.

Goth Eucharist tonight 8.30 for 8.45 start. The first of the new academic year. In October the topic is: 'Sword and Sorcery: Fantasy and Spirituality', exploring the spirituality of the Lord of the rings and particularly the images of good and evil. Today's sermon is entitled "'Secret Fire, Second Breakfast: The Spirituality of Middle-earth'. This will cover something about fantasy writing itself and connections of darkness and light.

Music will consist of early A23, Bella Morte, Diorama, and others. Afterward,s we'll be probably skulking off to the Calling, so do come along!

Goth Eucharist
The Goth Eucharist on tomorrow (25th) at St Edward's church. Malcolm will be preaching the second sermon on the theme of veils and faces, the service is as usual at 8:30 for 8:45pm. Some filming will be taking place to be shown in a short piece on a website for the Commission for Equality and Human Rights.

I'm hoping to start coming to a goodly number of these in the near future.

Has there been any planning on when gaps will occur?
