this journal is for the horror film enthusiasts. cap your favorites..but try to not cap the entire film..keep it over 10 but under 50. be creative when capping..let's see some nice shots and gore.

ALL NEW INCOMING MEMBERS, IF YOU EVER PLAN TO POST, PLEASE READ THE GUIDELINES

First off, please don't use the posted screencaps to make LJ icons. People put a lot of work into screen captures and fixing/coding them to post in the community for all to enjoy. Contribute a little to the community, and then if you must leech for your interests, then it won't feel so bad...

** THE FOLLOWING IS NOT ACCEPTABLE: **

1. REQUESTS are not acceptable.
2. Do NOT post images with...
- watermarks (though the trial FRAPS does put a little watermark in, which is fine..)
- inconsistently sized caps
- obviously googled images
- distracting borders
- movie posters
3. Do NOT post advertising of ANY kind.
4. Do NOT cap movies which have not yet been released to DVD (i.e. still in theaters).
5. Do NOT cap movie trailers.
6. DO NOT, under any circumstances, HOTLINK images.
7. Do NOT cap music videos.

THE FOLLOWING IS NECESSARY TO MAKE A POST:

***As a maintainer, I have the authority to delete posts that do not follow guidelines. You may always repost.
1. THE BIGGEST and most important rule of all: You MUST cap all images yourself!
2. Always post ONE and no more than one image before a cut.
3. NO TEXT may precede a cut EXCEPT the movie title, director, & year film was made.
4. ALL OTHER TEXT MUST follow a lj-cut.
5. Caps must be NO SMALLER than..approximately 600x300. End of story. See current posts for examples.
6. Caps MUST be consistent in size.

OTHER THINGS TO CONSIDER:

1. Respect each other. Keep this place classy[but horrific-lol].
2. Respect me, the maintainer. Please understand that I am trying to keep gore_gore about those special movie moments[or should i say those wonderful deaths]. Any jerk can cap an entire movie. Rather, we appreciate the art of a movie-- the cinematography, an actor's craft, and so on. Consider these things carefully when capping a film.
4. Nudity is fine -- use your judgement... If it is to the extreme, be tactful and put it behind a cut and warn viewers that it is not work safe (NSFW)...being this is horror i think you all know it goes hand in hand at times.

i use powerdvd to cap most of my films..it works out great. there are many other ways tho.

now let's have some bloody fun...
