Community Info

good_potoicons is a community designed for top notch Phantom of the Opera icon makers, based on communities like good_losticons and good_aliasicons.

The community is moderated by spybarbie & broadwayheathy. If you have a question or comment, please e-mail them here.



1). No requests or posting without icons in your entry. There are plenty of communities for requests and if you have a question, please contact a moderator by e-mail rather than posting in the community.
2). As long as there are Phantom icons in your post, we will allow the posting of banners, fan-art, and other graphics. Again, you must adhere to rule one, and don’t post just one icon in order to post other types of graphics.
3). No posting plain bases unless you're posting a majority of REAL icons with them.
4). If you post more than 3 icons, be sure to put the rest behind a cut.
5). Put "Persian" in the subject line of your entry when applying so I'll know that you read the rules.

To The Icon Posters:
In order to become a posting member of this community, you must first apply, and be approved by the moderators. DO NOT attempt to join this community without first being approved. If you do, you will automatically be denied membership.

To All Those Who Do Not Intend To Post:
1. Comment. I'm sure all the icon makers would like to know where the icons are going.
2. You must follow ALL directions given by the posters concerning credit, sharing, etc…
3. If you don't want to post, but want to watch the community, do not request membership, just friend it.


If you plan to use an icon, please follow the icon maker's rules, especially if it includes crediting. What, you don't know how to credit? Well, here’s how.


There are a few things that we're looking for as far as icon creativity.
- Creative cropping
- Good use of colors
- Interesting brushwork
- High-quality images
- Well thought out animations



Please post submissions to here and include some of your best icons so that we can judge your work and make our decision. You don't necessarily have to post Phantom icons for your application, but it would be a plus to see what kinds of cool Phantom stuff you have created when we're making our decisions.

Please apply only if you can be mature and handle the fact that you may possibly be denied. If we do deny you access to the community, it's probably because we feel that you have some work to do in mastering your graphics application of choice. We suggest waiting a few weeks and then reapplying after you've gotten the hang of things and made some improvements.
