This community is for the makers of LJ's finest movie icons. Membership is selected, not automatic, so you must apply and be accepted before you will be allowed to post here.

(yes, I know there are other elite movie icon communities, but none of them are up to date.)

So what makes a good icon? Crisp, clear images...smart use of gradients, brushes, and fonts...and all around excellent composition! Think you have what it takes? Then read the rules and apply!

This community is moderated by detoxcocktails and was created by freelancer_47

1) This is a movie icon community, which means only movie and chracter icons are allowed. NO actors. So for example, you could post an icon of Han Solo, but not Harrison Ford.

2) No requests or posting without icons in your entry. There are plenty of communities for requests and if you have a question, please contact the maintainer detoxcocktails rather than posting in the community.

3) Other (movie) graphics are allowed ONLY if the post also includes movie icons.

4) No posting plain bases unless you're posting a majority of REAL icons with them.

5) If you post more than 3 icons, be sure to put the rest behind a lj-cut. Fake lj-cuts and pop-up links are permitted and encouraged.

6) Any icons that are spoilerish must be put behind a cut with a warning.

7) If you are not accepted, don't throw a fuss. It won't get you anywhere. Simply work on improving your icons, and try applying again in two weeks.

8) Put "Action!" in the subject line of your entry when applying so I'll know that you read the rules.

9) There is no censorship at this community, so you don't have to worry about whether you can post nudity/obscene words/etc.

10) If you need a journal change, PLEASE e-mail me at virginthriller@aol.com. DO NOT post a comment in the application page. Make the subject of the e-mail GMI JOURNAL CHANGE.

1) If you don't want to apply but would like to watch the community, simply friend it. Do NOT use the "join" button.

2) Comments aren't required, but I'm sure the icon makers would love it!

3) CREDITING IS A MUST! Do not take a poster's icon without crediting them in keywords. If you don't know how to credit, read this...

4) NO HOTLINKING. It's rude and inconciderate.

5) Please remember to take our rules into consideration as well as the iconists rules. Make sure you've read both ours and theirs before taking icons.
