Mallomars for the WIN!
I finally caught the new Good Eats, Salty and Tasty episode. Basically about how salt and sweet elements compliment each other.
In the opening bit he takes "simple marshmallow cookies" also known as the world's most perfect cookie, Mallomars! He takes a torch, melts the chocolate and sprinkles Kosher salt all over them.
I needed to try it. After begging and being cute, Husband Mine actually went out to the store to get me a box of Mallomars and here, our adventures are described in detailedfood porn pictures:
6 perfectly innocent Mallomars on a sheet pan.

One purple-girl with a propane torch in hand!

Melting! I'm melting... My world, by beautiful world!

Assaulting the situation.

I cannot tell you how delicious they are. On a good day I could eat half a box of these cookies straight. Add the salt and I could eat a couple boxes in one sitting. Yes, this contributes to transforming into a Mallomar, I know, but I stopped myself!
I am so going to serve these for St. Patrick's Day. Ok, they are in now way Irish, but they are TOTALLY DELICIOUS.
