AboutWelcome to Gonzo Writers.
A place for all Gonzoists to rant. Anything goes, but to keep the place moving we ask that you post at least one piece of Gonzoism a month, whether it be a story, a report, a letter/fax/e-mail, a drawing, photographic evidence of your Gonzoness, anything...as long as it's Gonzo...and if it's not Gonzo then...I dunno...eat shrimp or something.
lj-cut's are preferred for longer entries, otherwise some people go mad with the flapping of the arms and such.

Gonzo is a splinter of the new journalism movment, kickstarted by HST, Tom Wolfe, Norman Mailer et al.. Gonzo journalism follows mostly a narrative style,it tells stories though not neccasarily being restricted to traditional linear beginning, middle and end format. The rules are free and easy, all you got to do is take your reader there. A gonzo journalist will tell you *their* news , using literary techniques, descriptive writing to bring you closer to their picture of the truth. It is also readily associated with the more subversive side of life- sex, drugs and on the dole, rock'n roll baby, the little things that make you crazy, provocative and often hilarious.
