AboutGokinjo Monogatari is a manga about dreams, fashion and love.
Gokinjo Monogatari (ご近所物語 Neighborhood Story) is one of the most popular manga written by Ai Yazawa, a recent popular mangaka in Japan. It was published from 1995 to 1998 in Ribon, which is a manga magazine for girls around 5-12 years old published by Shueisha. It was later made into a 50 episode anime series from Toei Animation that aired on TV Asahi from September 10, 1995 to September 1, 1996.

Gokinjo monogatari tells the tale of Mikako Kouda an aspiring fashion designer, and her childhood friend and neighbour Tsutomu Yamaguchi as they and their friends grow and evolve during their high school years at the art school yaza-gakuen. It is also a prequel of sorts to Paradise Kiss another work by Ai Yazawa.
Gokinjo has yet to be licensed in North America but is currently being scanlated by Shoujo Magic.
