Then request to join the community. Once your membership has been approved (you'll receive a notification e-mail from LJ), go here to add your contact information and sign up for tasks, and here to read the rules. Your comment to this post will then be screened.

Possible tasks

  • Writing and/or proof-reading articles
    • Full articles (example)
    • Blurbs (example)
    • Other articles for the website (about the authors, editions, etc)
  • Website
    • HTML (coding the articles to go up on the site)
    • Graphics (does not mean art; please see the userinfo if you are interested in applying as an artist)
    • Testing (for usability and bugs or improvements)
  • Publicity (spamming posting about the Lexicon in various fan communities)

Note: In most cases, more than one person can work on the same task.

EDIT @ 02/06/08: Members who no longer watch the community have been removed, assuming they're no longer interested. If that isn't the case, please reapply for membership (no need to fill this out) and you'll be re-added.

Other comments/questions: What kind of time commitment would really be involved in this? That's what is dependent on me doing things, because I am in school, but the web design would be good practice or even possibly a resume piece for my intended career. Soooo I will wait for a reply to this before I request to join. <3

We're all volunteers here, so you can spend exactly as much time as you want. :) For proof-reading, you can glance over articles as they're posted here before going up on the site and offer a few comments, or even go over the articles already on the site and suggest improvements. There isn't much to do on the web design front at the moment; it'd mostly be coding articles to go on the site.

Basically, if you're even just a little bit interested, go ahead and join the community. You can start working on things whenever you find the time/inclination to do so.

You've been accepted to the community. Please do the following:
  • Read the rules here (though they're the same as the userinfo -- you don't have to read them twice)
  • Leave your contact information and the sort of tasks you want here
  • Claim an article topic here
  • Add the community to your friends list here
  • Write a one-sentence blurb about yourself for the website here
Thanks for helping out! :D
