RE: Your Gifts

1- Tracking your gifts: If you'd like to keep up with the comments your gifts garner here at the go_exchange, hit the "tracking" button on the entry itself -- it looks like a pushpin. Then any new comments will be emailed to you. Trust me, folks read and comment on gifts throughout the year!

2- If you want to post your gift somewhere else (like your own lj, for example) and you want us to change the links, please do the following: leave a comment here with the following info: the mod who posted (waxbean, vulgarweed, or musegaarid), the link to the entry here at the go_exchange and the new link to wherever else you've posted it. Give us lots of time to deal with these requests -- but poke us if you haven't heard from us after a few weeks.

3- All the gifts should be edited to reflect proper giftees' identities. If we've made any mistakes, let us know and we'll fix it.

4- If there are any other mistakes, let us know.

5- Lastly, artists -- if you'd rather host your art, just send us the new links. Please identify the mod who posted the gift, the link to the original gift entry, and the new link to your art. I personally don't mind hosting art on my lj scrapbook. I have a permanent account so the art shouldn't be going anywhere (assuming LJ doesn't go anywhere, of course).

That means the end of the guessing game...which had a pretty sorry turnout this year. Only 4 people tried their luck!

sticktothestory is our winner for both fic and art; that was with 2 artists and 3 writers correctly identified.

wintercreek's one and only guess was correct, and sirius_luva correctly identified one artist.

We've made a few changes to the formatting this year. We're presenting a masterlist of all 71 (!) works produced for the 2008 GOE, and you'll have to do your guessing in the comments. (The poll formatting is just too unwieldy for lists this long.) And this year, our guessing winners will have something to show for it!

The person who correctly identifies the greatest number of fic authors will be able to request a custom ficlet from one of the mods!

Just to let you all know, the exchange isn't over! We have a couple more days yet to go before the guessing and the stats and the big reveal.

Couple few things first. It's the end of the exchange and it's more important than ever to leave feedback. After a month, people get lazy. But we know you're reading and looking and we know you're enjoying it as much as ever. The artists and authors here at the end certainly worked as hard as those in the beginning - so please share the love.

At the very least, we expect you to comment on your own gift. Not doing so is grounds for being banned next year, so make sure you've said thank you. It's the polite thing to do.

Also, there was a picture a few days ago whose link got broken for various reasons and now it's fixed. If you want to see myst_walker's giftpic from the 23rd, check it out here and let the secret artist know what you think. My apologies for the mistake.
