Does anyone know if they cut scenes from the American DVD release? I’ve been thoroughly enjoying Monarch of the Glen and all its lovable characters, but when I went onto the internet to look up certain things about the show I discovered a site with direct transcripts from the show and the transcripts contained scenes I did not remember seeing on the DVDs we rented from Netflix.com! Now, if I had found original scripts I would have assumed there were changes made between writing and filming and that scenes were cut. While still trying to figure out if the transcripts were genuine, I found a Hamish Clark fansite which contained loads of screencaps from scenes I hadn’t seen either! Were these scenes removed from the American release alone or both US and UK releases? Why would they remove scenes? Have I gone mad? What am I missing? I am a new member, but not quite a new fan, though I didn't get into the series till about two years or so ago. I got into it thanks to the dvds from the library. I was hooked once I finnished the first season. ^_^ I dunno if I have a favorite...but probably the first 3 seasons. I just finnished watching series 5, I can't wait to see the last two. I read a little bit of what season 6 is about, but I don't remember all of the details, so don't spoil it for me, lol I love the characters, I love the locale, I love the accents (I am in the states--just fwi, lol), I love everything about it. Its just a nice little gem of a show. If I had to pick a favorite character...well I'd have to chose 2: Lexie and Duncan. Not to say I don't love the others, because I do. Its hard to pick just one.

Holiday at the seashore + Hurricane Ernesto + well-stocked public library = devouring of Seasons 1 and 2 of Monarch of the Glen. While I eagerly await Netflix to bring me Season 3, I was wondering if there are any fic communities or archives? I scanned FF.net but am really not a fan of the site. Can anyone offer any assistance? P.S. While I am only up to S3 I am spoiled like old meat for the remaining episodes, so hit me with anything you've got!

I just got the Season 4, disk one from Netflix, and I was planning on capping the episode with Archie's wedding pretty extensively (hope that's not spoilery enough for those not through season 3 yet...I won't say who) and I was wondering if there were any other icon or header makers here who were in need of caps too? I own Season 1 and can get 2-4 from netflix if there's dire needs. Then I hope to make some icons to share, since theres a void with BBCAmerica taking it off the schedule *sniff*
