Hello all,

I'm trying to put the finishing touches to my project Night is Day so I can get it out on DVD in January.

I need a sound engineer who can do sound effects for film/TV who I can send the video to and the sound files and they can mix the sound and create sound effects for the last two episodes and send me back a master mix for my composer.

I can't offer payment but I can give you a credit on the site, the episodes, the dvd and in any press releases we do as well as a copy of the final product.

i've not posted in here for ages so i thought i'd re-introduce myself lol.

My name is Fraser, I'm a 23 year old filmmaking web developer sci-fi/comic book geek living in Stirling (well Alloa, but close enough lol).

Working away but still having fun and can actually afford to go out to the cinema or random trips to the theatre or whatever.

Todesfrequenz is the new Scottish regular music event of the big fat noisy sledgehammer beats and constantly morphing tortured electronics.

Glasgow's clubbing culture and reputation as well as the extremely inspiring industrial architecture and vibes of the city made the
choice for this slaughter night easy.

Run by two friends and hefty electronic music maniacs - Octahedron and Dan MoNoX - Todesfrequenz is intended to be a regular and on-going (on a monthly basis) night during which some of the finest and most radical tunes will be mixed to satisfy all the nihilistic creatures.

To even heighten the already intensive experiences, Todesfrequenz is the event featuring both - intensely irresistable dancefloor landmines
AND the visual elements so get prepared for some original stuff being projected too.



Following the launching party, Todesfrequenz will aim to include a live act every month, presenting creativity of the best non-mainstream
harsh electronic music artists.

We wanna bring the satisfying destructiveness back to industrial music - this is no distorted pop, no trance music about war and we are ready to send a few kids home crying from the club with ears bleeding and bones pounded into gelatin!

Glasgow University Music Club Choir starts up this Wednesday! Come along and sing if you can - or even if you think you can't. Eclectic repertoire ranging from folk songs and madrigals to Christmas carols, traditional Glasgow songs and arrangements of anything from Abba to ZZ Top (actual repertoire may vary).

For folks without a facebook account, it's in the Club Room, 12 University Gardens (same street as Queen Margaret Union), and starts at 6pm on Wednesday 3rd October. Goes on until 7, maybe a little longer if everybody's having fun, and then hopefully we'll all go to the pub!

help PLEASE! I currently live in Edinburgh but am just about to start a two year course in Glasgow. My lease here doesn't end till the end of october, so for the first two months I'll be commuting (yuck!).
SO I want to find a flat in Glasgow, but besides looking at online letting sites I don't really know where to start. Also, I'm not totally aware of which areas are good and which I really wouldn't want to live in - I know of some, but others I have no idea about! West end, South side, Byers road and Great Western road have all been recommended to me. I've found some nice flats that are cheap in Govan, but my boyfriend isn't too keen about moving there. I've heard that area isn't fantastic, but is it that bad really?
I'm looking for an unfurnished flat, as I have furniture. I've also got cats which might make it a bit more difficult, blah :/ anyway. Could any of you tell me of any letting agents I could pay a visit to whilst in Glasgow, or phone up?

Oh, and which areas should I DEFINITELY avoid? I don't mind living somewhere slightly less than desirable due to student budget :) but I know there's probably places where I really wouldn't want to go, bearing in mind I'm a girl I'd like to feel safe walking around at night :)
