AboutTrying to save money or just trying to put a little more of ourselves into the gifts that we give, our community is putting together gift giving ideas that we think are fun and easy.
Main Objectives of this Community:
1. To Share Ideas for Homemade Gifts
As part of this objective, we encourage you to post photos, directions, recipes or even just to list your materials. (But of course, please use LJ cuts, if the directions run long.)
2. To Share Ideas for Inexpensive Gifts that Can Be Personalized
Please feel free to explain what you made. We love to see your pictures too!

We are no longer accepting requests for ideas. If you have a question that you would like to pose to the community:
1. Please search through our archives first for possible ideas.
2. Find a few posts that might work as answers.
3. Write a post presenting your question and then include the links to past posts.
4. Finally, ask for further suggestions.
5. If your post elicits really wonderful ideas, please post again summing up the suggestions you've received.

- Respect- To you, to me, to all of us. Respect in language and expression.
- Use LJ cuts liberally- If your post is going to be longer than a few paragraphs, includes detailed directions, or includes several photos, please use LJ cuts. We do have some members who use dial up and long posts can be difficult for them to download.
- Add Descriptive Tags to all Entries- Tags make our archives more searchable and help our members to find those great ideas that have already been posted. We have a large number of tags in use, so please take a few moments before you post to review that list. As moderators, we especially appreciate your help in this matter since it saves us quite a lot of time when posters use correct tags. Thanks!
- No advertisements- Again, this community is not about buying things.
- Please be conscientious about repetition. Read previous posts before you post to see if someone has already asked your question, include links to related posts, use tags to identify your topic and make searching easier.
