- What's said in a locked post should stay here. This is intended as a safe place for people to vent and talk about personal stuff - please respect the confidentiality of locked posts and don't talk about the content elsewhere.

- We welcome women of all backgrounds, lifestyles, sexual orientations and opinions. We ask posters to remember the diversity of our membership when posting. In particular, if you're discussing a particular way of life, remember there's probably someone in the community who belongs to it, and be sensitive. This means all women, regardless of whether you're born female or you identify as female, all women are welcome.

- If you're posting about sexual stuff, please put it under a cut tag and flag it as non-worksafe.

- Posts are now friends-locked by default (only visible to community members). However, if you want to make a public post (and public posts are encouraged, as a public information service!), you can edit it to be public after posting it.

- Please flag public posts with the word 'public' in the subject line.

- Got something to sell on ebay or in general, own a business and need some exposure, or just wanting to plug and pimp something? Feel free, just put it behind a cut and use in the cut or title [Advert]. You can even ask if you can be put in the links section if you wish.

- If you can, put tags on your posts. If its about cooking use cooking, men use men, and so on and so forth. Means users can find posts quick if need be.

- If something was posted a month or so ago and you want to update users on it, feel free to make a new post on it, not everyone reads back through things. Just include a link to the old post if you can find it.

How do I join?
All women are welcome, but we'll try and prove you're a woman before letting you in. If you click the 'join community' link, what happens is that your request to join gets mailed to the mod, who will ask on the community if any existing members can vouch for you and say you're definitely a woman. If so, you're in. If you don't know anyone here, send one of the moderators a mail and let's have a chat.
