It's okay, Gin. Just because Daddy has a *new* comic, doesn't mean he loves you any less...

Another comic up at Malfunction Junction. Also, how do you'all feel about a livejournal community for Malfunction Junction? I mean, you can put comments directly on the site, but I don't know if you folks really dig that or not. Let me know what you think if you have an opinion one way or the other.

Also, here's a link to the new comic: http://www.malfunctionjunction.net

This is not what you wanted to hear. Or what I wanted to say. Jul. 29th, 2005 @ 07:06 am

Has the journal comic launched? No.

Is there a new Gin and the Devil up? No.

Did smoke come out of my computer the other day? Oh yes.

The launch of the new comic will be delayed until Monday for technical reasons. If you want to hear about my Adventures in Digital Failure, go ahead and check out the main site: http://www.ginandthedevil.com

I'm putting off the continuation of Gin and the Devil for now so I can go full-bore on the new comic. It will launch in exactly five days, which means Friday for those who don't feel like counting. To be honest, over the last few days I've been so deep into this thing, I just can't manage to switch my mind over to Gin and the Devil at the moment.

There isn't a new comic up, but there is some new purtyness going around.

Why would I do this shortly before putting the comic on the back burner? Who knows.
» A Comic and an Announcement
Today's comic also features an announcement below, which I hope you will not think of as dire.

I know I've been talking for months about giving the site a new look and automated allkindsastuff, but I can't even tell you how close everything is to being finished. So close. So very close.

Gin and the Devil is going to be so pretty after her new makeover, I think I'm going to take her out for some Glamour Shots afterwards.

This comic is not about jobs or job-finding. Or interviews, work, or anything else. This is me coming up for air:

The next comic is up. This storyline is going somewhere, and soon, no matter how much of your faith I've flushed down the toilet by this point. Anyway, http://www.ginandthedevil.com
» Other Comic
Alright, then. After a whole truckload of bullshit, I finally managed to install Wordpress, which will be the engine for the journal comic I'm going to be starting. That's a major step, because installing wordpress meant setting up a MySQL database, which for me was like stumblimg around blind in an empty room for a few days. But as luck would have it, I figured out how to get the thing running, (I still don't actually know exactly WHAT a MySQL database is, despite being mired in one for almost a week) so as soon as I manage to slap some lipstick on the weblog page, it should all be ready to go. Giddyup.

(Oh yeah, and I also need to figure out what I'm going to call the thing and buy the domain for it, too. That'd help, I think.)

EDIT: GOD DAMN IT. The second I finally install Wordpress, I hear "Oops, Wordpress has a security fuckup! Better upgrade to the new version!"

Yeah. This is just precious.

In today's installment, Parker's true mettle is tested-- will he hang with Ronald and the Crew?

Find out: http://www.ginandthedevil.com

EDIT: This comic went up at 5:30PM. I can't even tell you how weird it feels to me to post a comic while the sun is in the sky. There's just something unnatural about it.

This one goes out to the folks out there who're fans of Dean. Assuming there actually is anyone who fits that description.

The new comic is up at last. I'm going to try and get back on track here, but today you have a comic. Phew. Anyway, http://www.ginandthedevil.com

Here's another comic. I wish I had something more interesting to say about that, but it's currently late enough to be early and I'm fucking tired.

» Voting and such.
So, maybe I'm just crazy... but I was thinking that perhaps the BuzzComix vote button should be removed, and a different vote button put in its place. Because, let's face it, BuzzComix has been really unstable lately. If it isn't out of bandwith, it just isn't working.

I'd recommend Webcomics List. It seems comparable in size to Buzz, and any extra exposure seems to me to be a good thing. So... I guess you could all comment on my suggestion, or post a different top comics list, or just flame me. Y'know, whichever seems good.

Oh, and hi. I've been reading for a while, and I've even been known to comment occasionally, but I just joined today.
» Someone brought over whiskey...
The comic has been updated now that I've finally managed to get this shitbox computer online for a moment. Never buy an e-machine. Ever.

Here's today's comic: http://www.ginandthedevil.com

Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go to the bar and get wasted for what will probably be my last Saturday night out for a while. To be honest, that could be a good thing for me, as I tend to think of Saturday as "Binge Night."

I'm also thinking about starting a journal comic of some sort before long. This wouldn't cut into Gin and the Devil and would probably get set up on it's own domain. I'll keep you posted.

MarCon, AKA BarCon, AKA The Three Days God Hates ended yesterday. I'd like to share my (mostly fictional) account of it with you now. It'll be just like you were there. http://www.ginandthedevil.com
