I was talking more big long text blocks, because if I ever do choose to read an entry when scrolling past my friends-list, I throw it into a new tab by default to read the comments as well--so having to scroll past the rest of it is a trifle irritating.

Well, I guess I could use one of those computer programs that translates pictures into text and symbols. Hmm... that might be interesting, actually, but would naturally involve LOTS of scrolling, so yes, in lj-cut would most definitely be necessary.
