Spinning helplessly
I'm falling through the night
Like a lonely satellite
SERIOUSLY!?!? I waited all summer for it to be PEYTON!?!?! *gag*
They brought back the freakin' NANNY!?!? UGH.
Someone explain again why I watch this freakin' show!
They are so going to revisit Nathan and his back issues, with all the cringing and faces. Why not come up with something else to sideline the NBA career. We all know he can't disappear to go on the road all the time. James Lafferty is much hotter than CMM; they can't afford for him to go away.
And lastly, from the preview for next week: OMG!! BROOKE!! It is SO her mother that arranged that!

I was right. This will not be a show that I watch with any regularity. It's not as ... entertaining as the original. Though I suppose I'm not in the target audience anymore, but I wanted to like it. Kelly Taylor is still there... I love Jennie Garth. I wanted to have Kelly Taylor as my friend back then. But she can't even make me keep watching... *sigh* And so it becomes one of those "Oh well, there's nothing else on, so I'll watch this" shows.
-----
And now, I'm off to watch an episode of the original... before the premiere of Bones (hhhmmm... David Boreanaz)
And not one episode, but two! *does happy dance*
I'll add something more to this post in the morning I guess, but suffice to say I thought it was pretty darn good.
Now though, I shall go to sleep.
In other news, hello non-friends!
Just finished doing a crazy sweep and mop of the house and hopefully these evil ants start leaving my kitchen. Also, starting classes tomorrow (yay!)
Damn. Thirsty.
Today is the last day of freedom for me. Classes start tomorrow. I'll pretty much be working and going to class all day every day. Seriously, when I'm not in class they are going to put me on the schedule. I told them I can only work Saturday or Sunday, not both... so that day will consist of homework! Oh yipee.
Today I spent the day with Kenny. We stayed in bed till 130, then he made me lunch and then we layed in bed for a while, and then went shopping. I bought a cute argile hoodie! Then I dropped him off with his band and I came home and did laundry. I'm watching Transformers with my parents (I have seen this movie maybe 3943943 times by now) - I just wanted to relax and enjoy sitting at home with nothing to do for one last time.
In any event, I'm going to post a friends only post now - so I'll shut up.
Her name is Lily. She's 1, she's adorable, and she's tiny! I love her to bits already, even though she's pretty much been camped out under the bed. She's had a not-so-great run of things, though, so I can't say I blame her. This week I'm going to meet one of her kittens (she had a litter before she and the kittens were rescued and spayed), and if all goes well, I'll have 2 cats to hang out with (and they'll have each other to hang out with while I'm at work, etc.).
2) It's not fair that if I spend 3 hours outside I come inside looking like a lobster. Totally not fair. Even fifteen minutes and I have this stupid pink glow. I like the sun. I like to be IN the sun. But I always have to worry about burning and therefore skin cancer. Thank god for 45 sunscreen.
3) I understand that it's tragic what happened in New Orleans with Hurricane Katrina. However, I'm getting annoyed with the people who watch Hurricane Gustav coming and make it sound like it shouldn't hit NO because they're still recovering from Katrina. The hurricanes are not making a personal attack on New Orleans. They are hitting other places also, and they don't have a mind to say "Hey, I need to avoid this area." They go where they go. It's a shame that they hit the same places all the time, but seriously, the people who live there knew they were living in a hurricane-hit area. They're not completely unaware in this. Hopefully, they get off easier this time... it would be tragic for another hurricane to hit just as they've partially rebuilt from the last one. But natural disaster happens.
Let me tell you the good and the bad.
The good: McLeod rocked. I had such a great time! It was karaoke night (naturally) and of course I sang a couple songs (The Metro by Berlin and Like a Prayer by Madonna). I finally got to see a hipster in person (I know, I know, I lead a sheltered life) and there were a few killer karaoke numbers that I'm hoping make it into the flickrset from tonight. I'll link to it when/if it's posted. :)
The bad: The stairs at the bar, although not insurmountable, proved a little too much for my poor knee. This is my first weekend without the brace and I'm really trying, but I had to cut my night short - much sooner than I hoped, actually.
All in all, it was an awesome time. I'm back home now and I'm icing my knee. Ow.
Dude, a whole month without posting here....I suck!!!
