I decided to take that as free reign to play around with language and words, because language and words are fun.

The verb conjugations that set off the introductory sections are in Romanian, as Gina’s last name—Înviere—actually does translate into “resurrection” in Romanian, I figured it wasn’t a big stretch, and it seemed to fit the prompt. As the human-centric nature of the challenge was up to my own interpretation, I chose to go with an outsider’s POV on “humanity.”
