Notes: I’m not quite sure where this one came from, but I like the idea so I’m going with it.
- According to Wikipedia, per the language of roses, a purple rose is said to mean protection.
- Also, the name Mathilda (sometimes spelled Matilda) is of Teutonic derivation, from words meaning "might, strength" and "battle" (alternatively, “strength in battle”) – and as we all know, our darling Kuroudo has a fondness for such attributes..!

Hello. New to the comm, not the fandom. I've been reading back posts for fanfiction and accidentally spoiled myself for the manga ending. (eeek) However, I remembered ANN posting about a oneshot side story that came out earlier this year, and was wondering if anyone read it and/or had a summary for it.
One other question, is it okay to think of the anime and manga as somewhat separate of each other at this point? I know they start out the same, but it seems there's enough differences where they may not be the same; more like the anime might be an AU of the manga or vice versus. Just curious on this one.

Prelude Duality in the Self is never considered a benefit. In certain matters having only one is the best model. One body, one heart, one mind and one soul. But then sometimes trauma splits a person. Then you have two minds in one body, and usually you end up in the psychiatric ward under heavy medication and close care. However when the personality split in the Infinity Fortress, the beings that formed were one of pure power dedicated to destruction of all that caused pain and fear in the world, and the other one that maintained his innate kindness and strength. 2 beings separate in mind, heart and physical characteristics formed. One protected and maintained the sanity of the other in the face of ceaseless attacks from the Belt line. As time progressed the two separated further and further, becoming more distinctive and different the original host was subsumed by the dominating power of the Raitei. The gentle soul was almost lost, in a sea of electricity and pain.

Maria was enraged, they were hiding things from her all of them. Ever since the return of the Raitei she had sensed Ban’s power level rise to ridiculous levels. The magic he now commanded was the stuff of legends, he knew spells that she was certain even his grand mother did not know. Maria knew Ban, she had trained him and while she admitted to underestimating him in underworld tournament and the Limitless Fortress, she knew magic. And without a shadow of a doubt the magical world was moving, shifting, changing. There was clear shift in the magical energies; she knew part of it was due to the coming alignment of the Earth, the Sun and the Centre of the Galaxy in 2012. But according to the estimations of Ban’s grandmother, the magical energies should have gone darker, and the powers of the witches wane even further. Is there a burning book or Bit that needs translation more then then rest...
Hve no real interesting in translation stuff NIT related to Ban and Ginji so the Yoban-Kazuki & Shido key thing is not on my list of priorities.
But still not sure if you prefer book by book at random.. or only translate the GB dynamics, or you want to follow when Tokoyo - bloody irriitating pop left off..
Willing to take suggestions/ opnions or feedback.

At Ohayocon this year I finally got the nerve to commission my favorite artist there to draw a getbackers piece. I should clarify when I say I had to get the nerve to do it, please do not misinterpret that, the artist is very nice and approachable, but she is very pretty, I am shy, and then there is the factor of watching my companions eyes bulge out a little as I hand over yaio references of Ban and Ginji, ha ha!

ajj7sunhawk: I have not forgotten about your fanfiction, but I think I am having a secondary high from the smoke leaking out of my sister's room (despite my unusually high tolerance for any type of drug); and you would not want me to comment it now, if this is indeed the case (which it must be, since I drew that "dumb-as-Juubei" picture [I should use that phrase more often. God, he's dumb. I love it.]).
For everyone else:
I have not forgotten, those of you who were kind enough to write fanfics for me. I will be making a post about it a little later in the week if not next week. If you are interested, I am still open for more trades, so if you wanna write me a bloody/gory/gruesome yaoi fic, I'll draw something speshul for you. (I'll spend an extra hour on the piece you request if the fic is a Kagami/Ginji (Mostly because I have never seen it, and think it would be HILARIOUS. Wouldn't be too hard to add blood, either. The wind howled around the two facing each other. The boy was young maybe 16 or 17 and he faced off against a much older man. The blonde licked the blade in his hands, tasting the blood of the boy coating the edges of the sword. The boy seemed at a disadvantage, the blonde was older, heavier and stronger, with a speed that belied his size, his sword a fine weapon that gleamed in the moonlight. The buttons on the blonde's uniform glittered gold , his clothes were of the finest quality. The black haired youth stood weaponless, breathing hard he didn't seem to notice or care that there was a slash mark across his chest, blood was seeping out, on to a sweater that had seen much better days. I have now had volume 3 of Get Backers: Infinity Fortress on order from Amazon since it came out in early March. Just recently I got an e-mail from them asking if I'd like to cancel my order, since they weren't able to find the book within their usual time frame, or if I wanted to keep waiting. Now, on the Amazon page for volume 3, it says "Sign up to be notified with this item becomes available."
What the hell? Does anyone know of another way I can get this book? I'd like to finish reading the manga series but I'll never be able to do it if the volumes aren't available when they're supposed to be. Should I try ordering it from Tokyopop? Has anyone managed to buy this book?
