My first tribute to Geoffrey Rush ^^
Hello Rushies !!

At last, I have finished my first video with Geoffrey !!
I have posted it on Dailymotion.
It's a montage on the song "Poison", by Alice Cooper, with almost all Geoffrey's characters.
I have tried to follow the music rythme, and to match the lyrics with the lips of Geoffrey for some parts of the video, but it's quite far to be perfect.
There is also a very tiny gap, especialy at the end, and I think it ruins a little bit the video, but sorry, I cannot edit it anymore, my software is over.
Hope you'll enjoy it !! ;)

You did a great job on the video. It doesn't sound easy to make a vid. Thank you for posting this video, love the music and the pieces of movies Geoffrey was in. Perfect

And you're right, it's not really easy to make this kind of videos... but believe me, even though it takes time, a vid on Geoffrey is quite pleasant to do !! ;P

Thank for responding. Geoffrey is worth making a vid on. My daughter and I plan on trying to make a vid. She's going to do it on Barry Manilow and for my on Geoffrey. We just need to figure out how to do it. Again thank you for a lovly video, I found it on Dailmotion and put it in my favorites.

I hope I'll crack the software soon... I can't wait to make another one !!
I thought to make one for each film... If I have the software (maybe on mac... mmmm :D) I'm sure I can do that before holidays ;)
I just need to find another songs which fit quite well with the pictures !!
I think I'm gonna search for a software on mac tomorrow, just for fun ;)

Yes... but it takes more time for me... and my comments are obviously shorter ;)
In fact, I just need a crack, and foremost a good song !! (and time... but I always find time, it's not a problem for me ^^)

Oh no, I didn't notice any mistakes, it was really perfect mate! I've watched it over and over now, and I'm not just saying that! I just adore seeing all Geoffrey's brilliant moments in the one video! You're the best!

The last "beta" version of Nero... but only a 15 days demo is available.
I can give you a link if you're interested by this program... but it often "crashes" the computer and all the data not saved...
I'm trying to find a way to have the complete version ;)

Yeah, I think it's the same or almost the same version I used.
I had "Nero Ultra Version 8.3.2.1" ;)

I used Nero too for my two (non-Geoffrey) fanvids because I can't get Windows Media Player to work at all! Fortunately, a permanent (but not fully functional) version of Nero came free with my DVD drive. But mine keeps crashing too. I learned the hard way to hit "save" every couple of minutes, especially as the file starts getting larger. (Now you know part of the reason I stalled out after making just two, a whole year ago! So I can really appreciate how much hard work and dedication went into your tribute.)

Windows media also doesn't work very well on my computer ... I think it's a curse ! ^^
You've luck... I can't find a way to restart Nero on mine, and I rather like the program, I think I'm gonna reformate my computer... at least I'll time to make another vid :)
Even though I'm obligated to save every couple of minutes, I love to do this kind of stuff !!

Holeeeeeeeeeeeey ... Mistakes? Gap? Whatever do you mean? That was awesome! Just perfect! How do I love Geoffrey? Let me count the ways--cuz you captured most of them right there! (Can you tell, I'm still out of breath!) And what a great song to choose--to me that's the hardest part of making a fanvid: picking the right song. (Love how he's playing the piano at the beginning and it sounds just like an electric guitar!) And you sync-ed everything else up just great with the lyrics too, especially the part about the chains, and and and ... OMG, you included one of my very favorite scenes of him (besides the dancing!) ... the one in Elizabeth where he turns to the camera dragging his hands through his hair ... guh. Best film entrance ever or what? Sorry, ladies, but I'm in the minority of those who think his short hair is absolutely to die for! It looks so soft and touchable ... and obviously even he can't resist!

"First tribute to Geoffrey Rush"? You mean there's more? Encore, encore! *must ... watch ... again ... pant, pant*

I'm totally agree with you, choose the song is definitely the most difficult aspect for this kind of video... because it have to be something that matches with people's tastes, fits with the clips and the feeling or the idea you want to convey...
Yeah, I loved electric guitar !!... and also the idea that could Geoffrey play a guitar solo ;P
It was the perfect occasion XD
I'm glad there were some of your favorite scenes !! ;)
There is also some of mines !!

If there is more... mmmm... I'm trying to get a crack for my software, the demo is expired, then I'll make another one !! ^^

But there is not all the characters that Geoffrey played... I had some problems for ripping "Mercury" and "Dad & Dave", and "Twisted Tales" was too much poor quality, it ruined a little bit the video when I had includ clips from this :/
And yes, I thought it was a perfect way for ending the video !! ^^
