Link Cleanup
Well, it's been a long time but I finally got around to updating Genrou.com a little bit. It's not much, but I removed all of the dead links from the links page. So many good sites have disappeared over the last year or so; it's a little depressing to think that maybe shrine making is becoming a dead form of art. I do plan on adding more links at some point, as my bookmarks list is full of awesome sites that I've come across within the last while. It'll just take me a while to sort through it all. :3

In the meantime, there will be a layout update. I've been feeling kind of depressed lately because I've been so pre-occupied with work that I haven't been able to work on my own projects. Even though I work on a web site all day, I really feel out of the loop. Anyway, I'm not sure when the new layout will go up but I'm going to aim for the end of this upcoming weekend, at the latest. ^^

It's so true ;_; A lot of domains I used to visit sooo often have disappeared over the past year or so and I'm saaad ;____; Though it seems that there are plenty of new domains popping up with tons of "new style" shrines - you know, the type that has super gorgeous graphics and all but very little written content. Oh well, the trend is shifting around :\

Work pwns layout juices, that's what. I feel so pathetic that I only made 2 layouts in a course of 5 months, but it could be worse later :(

Yeah, I noticed a lot of really well known sites were expired or taken down. :/ It really sucks, because they were all so good. And I guess if someone loses interest, they can't be expected to pay however much they need to keep their domains around. It just shocks me when I think about just how many sites have gone down, though.

I think the trend of having really nice graphic design and little to no content has been a trend for a long time. I think fanlistings are partially to blame; since they became popular, shrine making in general declined quite a bit. It's really hard to keep track of everything these days. :| There aren't even any good anime link directories anymore.

Aw, don't feel bad about only doing about 2 updates in 5 months. ^^ It's been way longer for me. I'm just trying to get back into the swing of things. I do have time after work to do this sort of stuff, it's just that I'm often tired or busy doing other stuff. But I'm trying to make more room to work on my sites, even if it's just updating layouts. ^^
