It was good to see 3 minor celebs cooking up lunch for the 90-strong cast and crew of A2A.  This must have been filmed back in January or February as it was remarked that it was very cold.  I'm sure that Phil was ok in his heavy black coat;  Keeley was probably a bit chilly around the edges in that short white leather jacket, although, in a concession to the '80's she did have on leg warmers, well, ankle warmers anyway, ha!  It was filmed in such a way that for those who have not seen the last series, no story line details are given away.  We did get to see Phil and Deano chow down on the chicken curry.  Hum, what happens if one of the cast spills lunch on his or her costume?  I'm sure that's not too much of a problem for one of the guys, a bit of curry on the tie is Gene all over (yes, more the '70's Gene than the '80's man), but what if Keeley gets salad dressing on her blouse?  Surely Alex is a neat eater?   

The finalists of Celebrity Masterchef had to feed the 90-strong cast and crew of Ashes to Ashes as part of their challenge in tonight's programme!

It looks like a two horse race between Phil and Richard Armitage so every vote counts!

Philip's website reports that there is a new book due out in the fall - "The Wit and Wisdom of Gene Hunt".  I'm not sure about the wisdom, but there is lots of material for the "wit " part.  This should be fun - although I hope they collect some of the more obscure funny bits as everyone knows the very best ones already.

i don't know if this has already been mentioned, but i turned on the radio this morning (southern fm, it's a commercial one) and was met by this;
"Hi. I'm Philip Glenister. And I play golf."
The whole advert was him talking about golf, but in the end it was for mercedes benz.

My mum and dad really liked a show called Roger Roger that used to be on a little while ago with Philip Glenister in, and I wanted to buy my dad a dvd of it for his birthday but I can't find it anywhere! Does anybody know where I might be able to buy it? Or if they even sell it?
