AboutAt long last, a community dedicated solely to discussion of the works of superior Science Fiction novelist Gene Wolfe. He is most highly acclaimed as the author of the Book of the New Sun series, but those more familiar with his work will know he has a vast collection of amazing stories under his belt. His "Latro" series -- comprised of Soldier of the Mist and Soldier of Arete -- is fast gaining notoriety since it was republished in a single volume (Latro in the Mist), and he is in the midst of writing a new series of novels beginning with The Knight.
Feel free to post an introductory message when you join. There are not many members as yet, but a little bit of chatter is a good enough way to begin an interesting discussion.
All your thoughts on Wolfe's books are welcome here, from the truly profound to the vaguely absurd. Just keep in mind that not all Wolfe fans have read his entire bibliography; post any and all spoilers behind a cut-tag, and otherwise use sensible discretion. Please do try to limit the conversation to canon (that is, Wolfe's original works). There is a community elsewhere on LiveJournal for Wolfean fanworks and that is where any derivative fiction should go.
