gazette_yaoi is a community dedicated to romantic/homoerotic relationships between the members of the JRock band ガゼット (Gazette).

ヤオイ(yaoi) - This is a YAOI or BoysLove centric community. Please do not join if you a) don't know what YAOI is, b) are offended by beautiful men depicted in romantic or erotic relationships with one another, or c) have a problem with fans pairing up the members of ガゼット (Gazette).

Here are some rules you'll need to know:
Posting
what you can post...
- Fanfiction

- Fansite links
- Graphics (this includes wallpapers, icons, colorbars, etc)
- Cosplay photos (especially those including yaoi ^^ but you can post the normal ones too)

how to post...
- Subject line: all posts are required to have a descriptive subject line. For fanart/cosplay/graphics, include pairings. For fanfic, this means a minimum of title, pairing(s), and chapter (if a chaptered fic). eg. [fic] Goldie Lox and the four Brunettes - Reita x Uruha - 1/?
- LJ cuts (<lj-cut>) are required for:
fanart
graphics (if more than three icons or one image larger than 400x100)
cosplay photos
fanfiction
- for fanfiction please ALWAYS POST with the following format:

Title:
Chapters: please indicated "#/#, #/?, or oneshot" (this is for archival purposes)
Author: <lj user="your username here">
Genre: what is it? fluff, smut, violence, abuse? label it
Warnings: required field for the following: deathfic, rape/non-con, graphic violence, graphic drug use, bdsm/kink/explicit sex. Don't argue with me, just do it, okay?
Rating: in the intrest of saving confusion, we have opted to use the US system. For those a bit shady on what that means, our base definitions are:
G - Lacks cursing, lacks adult situations, lacks any real violence; think Disney fairytales.
PG - Lacks graphic cursing, some mild suggestion of adult situations, some violence; think The Princess Bride.
PG-13 - Mild cursing, escalating adult situations, escalating violence; think Harry Potter.
R - Cursing, adult situations, suggested sexual scenes, violence; think The Rock
NC-17 - Blatant sexual scenes, excessive violence, language, and adult situations. (not citing examples)
Pairings/Characters: Pairings here. Please please please, we're old school, if you're writing (a lemon especially), please list them in proper order. *coughs* Aisling doesn't like going into a fic hoping to see *absolutely random example* Tsukasa getting screwed by Karyu, only to find Tsukasa doing the screwing ... and neither would Sel, really, so ... comprendez-vous? It's confusing. [This is not to state that roles must be adhered to, but just an old rule of thumb. We just felt this should be clarified.]
Synopsis: what's your story about? A couple lines of summary to get people to give a shit about your fic.
Comments: wanna add something for people to note before reading? here's the place for it.

- Other rules:
1. PLAGIARISM WILL NOT BE TOLERATED! Absolutely in no way, shape, or form. If we catch you, your post will be deleted with an explanation. If you repost the fic, it will be deleted again, with NO further notice. We feel very strongly about this as a matter of ethics. If you continually try to break this rule, we reserve the right to remove you from the community.
2. Be nice. It shouldn't need to be said, but we'll say it anyway. As my gramma always said, if you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all.
3. Keep on topic. Questions are always welcome (though if it's not about the band, please direct it to the comm email address or kiku_kitten). We don't mind intro posts, but please bring a gift *winks* or a question.
4. Comments are to be (primarily) in English. We appreciate that not everyone here speaks English as a first language, but this is an English language forum. We can't do our jobs as mods if we can't read the comments, so please stick to mostly English.
5. If you choose to post your fic as a link, the link can't point to a locked entry. It's your fic, post it where and as you like (but do follow our header guide), but posting a link to a locked entry in a public forum is considered poor manners at best.
6. Don't be afraid to contact the mods! For praise or for concerns of any sort, please don't be afraid to contact us. Find our journals, use our e-mails, or just drop a comment on our Official Contact Point post. We want to hear from you!
7. FOR FICS: All parts of the proper header MUST be filled out based on specifications listed in the community info. It is necessary for the courtesy to our readers and the sancity of the archive that ALL parts of the fic header be filled out. EVEN THE RATINGS! Don't know how to rate it? CHECK OUT THE COMMUNITY INFO! I have a NICE list I spent quite a bit of time typing up for you! IF ANY PART OF THE HEADER IS MISSING THE MODS RESERVE THE RIGHT TO REJECT THE POST AND MAKE YOU FIX IT BEFORE REPOSTING.
8. SUBJECT LINES ARE REQUIRED FOR ALL POSTS. I don't care be it fic, pic, or dick (meaning nothing *grins*) it HAS TO HAVE A SUBJECT LINE! As with the fic header, this is for sanctity of the archive -- as well as letting people know if they want to check it out! Courtesy folks!
9. Fics must be centrical to a gazette pairing/paired member. While we've not had issues with this for a while, I felt it still needed to be here, just as a reminder considering our growth.

Archive
To be archived you MUST format your fic with the above formatting. We will not spend the extra time trying to determine a fic's status, type up a synopsis, any of that. If it's not formatted, it's not archived.

If you would like to be excluded from the archive (what a shame), please make note of it in your comments. Any fic without a blaring "do not archive" will be archived if it follows format.

This is a yaoi community for the Jrock band Gazette. If that offends you in any way, please leave now. We will not tolerate bashers, flamers, or any of the hater-like people. You will be banned and reported to LJ.
