Welcome to gayboyerotitest, a gay male erotic icon contest for non animated icons.

Credit for this concept goes to quebelly with the original community buffy_stillness

Rules.
1. Your submissions cannot be animated!
2. Your submissions must remain anonymous. This means you cannot use your icon or post it anywhere till the voting period is over.
3. No telling your friends to vote for you. It breaks rule #2 and it's not fair to the people who follow the rules.
4. No voting for yourself. It's just lame.
5. Make sure your submission fits LJ's size standards. (100x100 pixels, under 40kb in size.)
6. Please don't take any of the contest icons without the creator's permission.
7. Using tutorials is okay - copying directly and passing off someone else's work as your own is not. Just don't do it. Experiment and play around with the tutorials. A great resource for icon tutorials is icon_tutorial.

Submitting.
1. At the beginning of each contest the mods will make a post where you can reply with your submission. Comments will be screened so the only people who can see your submission are you and the mods.
2. You will need a host that allows remote linking. Geocities/angelfire/tripod won't work. However, photobucket (http://www.photobucket.com) is a decent free image host that allows remote linking. Many icon makers use it. Addendum: Apparently Lycos also allows remote image loading.
3. You will post your icon in a comment to the appropriate post, and when voting time comes around, the voting poll will be posted.
4. When posting an icon, please post them like this:

The URL, eg: http://www.blah.com/blah.jpg
And the img itself, eg: < IMG SRC="http://www.blah.com/blah.jpg" > (without the spaces between the <'s.)

Timeline.
Every Sunday Australian Central Standard Time at 6pm, the challenge will be posted. You have two weeks from the date of the challenge to post your icons. The icons are then posted in a new post on the Sunday night so that people may vote. The winners are revealed between the Wednesday and Friday evening, Australian Central Standard Time.

For your reference, Sunday Australian Central Standard Time 6pm is Sunday US East Coast Time 4:30am.

Voting.
1. You don't have to be a member of the community to vote.
2. Anonymous votes will not be counted.
3. Please vote for your choice for the best three icons.
4. The honorable mention award is given to an icon of the mod's choosing. Basically it's just an icon the mods thought was nifty but was over looked in the voting.
5. We, the moderators, are allowed to participate in the contest, as it is anonymous, but will not be eligible for honorable mention.
