I feel : blah
I love the fall with the leaves changing colors, and the fact that it's cool enough to wear sweatshirts, and apples and all that jazz. But, I also kind of hate it because it begins the time of year where it's too cold for me to ever get out of my bed, forget about leaving my house.
On an awesome note, I don't have lectures for one of my online classes, or discussion for the other one. Um, do they expect me to do something if no one is going to be checking in on me? Because if so, wow. And even with this situation rather than working super far ahead today, I accomplished very little.
I don't want this to turn into an emo rant though (there's so few of those at this journal, bwahahahaha), so instead, things that have made me happy today.
( Insert Happiness Song from You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown here )
Ok, actually, all of that stuff being in one place has lifted my spirits, haha. Also, this music totally came up on random play all by itself. That's almost creepy.

this last week has been wonderful. the family i work for went on vacation last wednesday, so needless to say i've been on vacation as well.
i spent last thursday and friday playing with my adorable, scrumptious almost 6 year old nephew (who is now over four feet tall!!). if there is anyone in my life who knows how to get me to do anything, it's that little monkey. all he has to do is look at me with his big, goofy brown eyes. i'm such a sucker. :P
so with a little persuasion from my sister as well, i got talked into having dinner with them thursday night. shawn was at school so it worked out well. afterwards, we went on a nice family walk. it was so much fun. ethan took his bike and i was racing him up and down the trail, pushing him up the "steep" parts and just getting to be there with him and encourage him.
i spent the weekend and yesterday playing catch up on relaxing and getting errands ran. i went to macy's yesterday to exchang a pair of shorts that i bought, but had become too big, and found two awesome shirts instead YAY! i even got to do some knitting this morning for the first time in a while.
then as if everything wasn't already perfect, shawn woke me up this morning with a delicious breakfast in bed. wow, how that man never ceases to suprise and amaze me.

3:34p Andrew Ryan
Is a man not entitled to the sweat of his brow?
'No!' says the man in Washington, 'It belongs to the poor.'
'No!' says the man in the Vatican, 'It belongs to God.'
'No!' says the man in Moscow, 'It belongs to everyone.'
I rejected those answers; instead, I chose something different.
What is the difference between a man and a parasite? A man builds, a parasite asks, 'Where's my share?' A man creates, a parasite says, 'What will the neighbors think?' A man invents, a parasite says, 'Watch out, or you might tread on the toes of God...'
I believe in no God, no invisible man in the sky. But there is something more powerful in each of us, a combination of our efforts, a great chain of industry that unites us. But it is only when we struggle in our own interests that the chain pulls society in the right direction. The chain is too powerful and too mysterious for any government to guide. Any man who tells you differently either has his hand in your pocket or a pistol to your neck.

3:26p Thanks Vicky (a.k.a. Drillingcat)
you always give me cool memes........
Directions: Go to urbandictionary.com and type in you answer to each question in the search box, then write the first definition it gives you. 1) Your name? ::An adjective used to describe a pair of gorgeous legs. Sexy, shapely, lusciously long legs. Damn! She has katy legs! 2) Your age? ::The age at which one is finally considered human ::The magical age where it is legally ok to get incredibly drunk. At this time, a young adult spends most of his free time consuming vast amounts of alcohol in a variety of forms, saying that they're "making up for lost years." ::someone who takes 21 dollars as a payment for sexual favors Courtney is such a 21. 3) One of your friends ::A super hot and sexy girl. Wow that girl is such a ariel ::a crazy and adventurous person, whose infectious laugh sucks others into her silliness You're such an ariel ::Its a Jewish name. I means "Lion of God" He's very courageous like Ariel! ::funny,dangeriours,violent and cool 4) What should you be doing? ::The act of shoving everything in a closet and calling it decent. ::Code name for minors when smoking 5) Favourite colour ::slang reference to the vagina ::A pop singer ::A colthing line by Victoria's Secret. It includes Panites, tank tops, shorts, bathing suits etc... 6) Home town?
::A medium sized city known for being the home of country music. The people of Nashville are stereotyped to be rednecks whom speak with a twang and listen to Tim McGraw all day, when in fact, it's a diverse city, with much more to do than attending Fan Fare (i.e. good local rock bands, clubs, world class art museum, & theatre). ::Home of the late Johnny Cash and birthplace of Arnold Schwarzenegger. A land of milk and honey where the air smells like lollypops and 90% of residents urniate potable, premium flavored coffee. 7) Month of your birthday? ::The sixth month. ::A "hood" term meaning girl/woman. 8) Last person you talked to? ::The lady who gave you life. In this context, it is usually used as an insult. ::a marginally sexist way to refer to a girl. 9) What did you last eat? :: a candy covered candy with either nuts, chocalate, or peanut butter inside. ::a slang name for marijuana 10) Nickname? ::a tricky situation; a conundrum :: The highest card in the Great Dalmuti ::A cucumber stuck in Brine ::A term of endearment for a loved one. "I missed you so much Pickle" BEST. MEME. EVER! LoveLove Katy

5:30p I will actually be terrified for the sake of the world if McCain gets into power.
If I had one wish right now it would be to witness Sarah Palin & Margaret Thatcher in the same room together. Anyone else think that would possibly be the most phenomenal thing in the entire history of the world? Yeah, me too.

12:03p i never thought through love we'd be...
Equus was amazing! I don't think the Harry Potter movies gives Daniel Radcliffe enough room to show his acting chops. I was quite blown away. The scene where he gets naked doesn't happen until near of the second act. It's one of those 'I'll take my clothes off if you do' cases. All I have to say is, that takes guts! And he's naked for quite awhile too. Our on stage seats gave us an above view of play so lets just say I got a good view of uh...it all. DanRad is reaaaaally short though, like 5'2". Overall I'd give this play an A =)
After the play on Saturday, Kim & I took a cab to Phebes, a popular bar in the LES (Lower East Side). Unfortunately neither of us checked our voicemails. Because if we had, we would have known Edgar & Chris decided to go to Playwright instead, a bar in Midtown, closer to where we were in the first place. Le sigh. I was so wiped out at that point (remember, that was when I had just worked 10 hrs straight) that I decided to go home instead of going with Kim to meet Vinnie (her bf) at a bar. This was going to be the first time she met his friends so I figured she needed that time to herself anyway. Sleep was most welcome that night.
Sunday, after working both the matinee and the night show, I had 3 options. 1, go home and wait until Doug got out of work. But by the time he gets home, he passes out and I would have fallen asleep before he even got home. 2, go to Anthony's house but HE was tired. 3, of course, my official backup, go to J.D's house. So to J.D's house I went but I crashed on his couch while vegging out in front of the T.V. Called it a night shortly after.
2 new celebrity sightings! The first was while I was on my walks. Spotted Woody Allen and his wife/ex-daughter Soo-Yi arm-in-arm on 88th & Madison. The second was Jason Schwartzman on 49th & 8th avenue. He looked like he was just out of a walk (a rather fast one) but the first thing I noticed was how clean he looked. And he's very very handsome. I also spotted a former TV actor (MKA Olsen's dad in that brief TV show and no, not 'So Little Time') now has been on Broadway for awhile (OBC Spamalot, Shrek): Christopher Sieber. And one of the main ladies from the new musical [title of show], Heidi Blickenstaff strolling arm-in-arm with her boyfriend.
It's so cold these days, I'm dreaming of my weeklong vacation already. December has never seemed so far away.

1:28p Heroes Season 3 Episode 4

Gotta love this show (and her).
