New website is up!

The new website layout is up, and since I'm using WordPress with ComicPress, it generates its own RSS feed.

For anyone who keeps track of the comic via the LiveJournal feed, please change the feed address to http://www.garanos.com/feed to continue getting new updates, since the LJ feed will no longer be updated after this!

Website Maintenance

The website will be undergoing maintenance in the next few days as I install ComicPress. I'm not sure whether or not this will make the site unavailable until I finish or not, so this is just a warning! ^_^;

Volume I Revisions

I got through a crapton of revisions of Volume I. It's now updated through page 151. I would've just slogged through and finished the whole first volume, but... uh... I appear to be missing about twelve pages of backups. This could either be a total crisis, or just me misplacing the CD. We shall see. Either way, enjoyed the cleaned up dialogue!

Pages 296-7 are up, and this concludes Part Eleven. As of now, Garanos is going on another hiatus.

The comic will resume again sometime in November. This is the longest break I've ever taken from the comic, but considering how much burnout I've been feeling the past month or so, I think it will help me get refreshed and ready to tackle the rest of Volume II.

I've got several projects planned during the hiatus, some of which are Garanos-related:

Finish the redesign for my portfolio websitte.

Overhauling the Garanos website, probably with ComicPress.

Graduate College. Oh yeah, that.

The rest of Vol. II, story-wise, needs some major restructuring and rewriting to incorporate some ideas I've gotten over the last year. By November, I hope to have the rest of the story completely scripted out.

I thank everyone who's stuck around this long for their support. Garanos will still need it these next few months, even though there wont be new pages! For anyone who'se not subscribed, I reccommend keeping an eye on the LJ feed and my Twitter account for updates on when exactly Garanos will resume. My best wishes go out to all. See you in a few months!

This week has been very busy. I'd kind of like to get to bed before 2 AM tonight, so I'm going to push the comic (which is about 35% done) back until at least Monday, and possibly just post the last two pages of the chapter all at once when I get them both done. Regardless, everyone have a good weekend. I'm going to go sleep for about 30 hours now. ^_^;;

Page 293 is up. I think this scene has had some of my best art since I started Volume II. And it only took a couple hundred pages to hit my stride. ^_^; Also, shiny tropical sunset colors are way fun.

Instead of all the usual distractions that kept the comic from getting done (I'm looking at YOU, Google Reader), tonight the blame belongs to Go Fish. I highly suggest it be read by all, since the story is fantastic. ^_^

Heh, does anyone even read these things?

Wednesday's comic will be up sometime today. Yesterday was my boyfriend's birthday, so I wasn't able to start the comic until rather late, and I had to actually draw the darn thing first, since I haven't had a chance to finish drawing the rest of this chapter. I hate how I always tend to drag when I'm nearing the end of a chapter. ^_^;; So for anyone who's paying attention, I thank you for your patience, and page 292 will be up later.

Page 291 is up. Pretty new clothes! Finally! I did the first color image of Gara's new clothes 13 months ago to the day. On the bright side, I never have to color a fur collar ever again. ^_^;;

There are new pictures up on the voting sites: Geilen's new threads in comparison next to the French magazine illustration that inspired it, and the picture of Garanos that JoeFish requested.

There are also new things in the fanart section! Chryssta made an awesome tribal version of Garanos' tattoo, and when I provided her large version of the other Caywienites tattoos, she was kind enough to make tribal versions of those as well. Check them out on the Artwork page!

Despite my best efforts, I didn't have time to finish a new page for Friday, since I've been preparing for Matsuricon all day. Have a good weekend, and comics will resume on Monday!

This weekend I'll be in the Artist Alley of Matsuricon at the Holiday Inn Worthington in Worthington, OH. (That's the suburb just north of Columbus.) If by chance any of my readers are there and come say hi, there will be free comic swag! This is the second to last of my conventions this year, so I'm looking forward to it.
