That's when I realized, I'd met him, at Anime Expo 2003 at the Guest's Reception event. They had this huge Animatrix shindig back then. Well, anyway, I'd say give or take 50 people purchased tickets to meet the guests via round robin table seatings, and he was one of the few I had my picture taken with.
Only...he like, bear-hugged me and bit my Domo-kun hat in the process. :D
I can't remember now if the hat-biting was snapped in the picture or not, but I'll have to check. Gotta dig them out of my closet, or wherever they are. I still thought this was hilarious as hell though. I had my hat bitten by the author and director of the Gankutsuou anime. >_o
