Summary: geekbynight asked for one month after the end of The Space Between Us (after the end of Chapter 17, not the epilogue), focusing on Gaeta and Hoshi. Heed the warnings for the original story- PTSD for several people based on what happened in that fic. (Also, it might be more like 2 or 3 months.)

Rating: PG-13-ish
Warnings: heed the warnings for the original story. There's major PTSD going on in this for people who've suffered rape and torture, although I'm not sure how much they ever actually say specifically about it, even though the fic is all about that. (They're guys sharing feelings. They're not detailed. ;) )

| Wacky AJ Podcast Interview |

I give all credit to twyla_hime for finding this. I just had to share this with the Squeers.
AJ did an interview with Trevor Devall, who is a fellow Vancouver voice actor (he did the voice of Aizawa on Death Note among many other roles). Trevor Devall has a website where he does podcast interviews with other voice actors. He had AJ on his show in November and the results are up for streaming or downloading.

The interview is over an hour, but if you have time to listen to it for frak sakes do. It is hilarious.
They mostly talk about Death Note and their respective VA roles, but there is quite a bit of talk about Gaeta and BSG. Highlights include how AJ could have gotten the role of Tyrol, how he fell on his face running for the yellow dog bowl, and how he was not happy at the time about being called for the BSG audition because it interrupted his schedule to play Romeo.

These kids were rescued from an Iraqi warzone by a US soldier and frankly its just an incredible story. The kids and their dad are looking at huge medical bills and the soldier - Russell Hayes, has taken them into his family but the costs are huge.
I sent my beer money. I already got an awesome thank you email and really, this is a case where even a dollar or two is going to help.

Got my Entertainment Weekly in the mail today. It's got the top tens of 2009, including the top 10 episodes on TV. #6?
Battlestar Galactica: Blood on the Scales.
After so much sci-fi kookiness and human/Cylon ennui, it was the bloody mutiny orchestrated by the peg-legged, tragic Felix Gaeta (Alessandro Juliani) that finally snapped BSG back into shape. The second half of this two-episode arc teemed with mind-frakkingly great moments, sending the series on its final voyage with a haunting, heart-stirring bang.
Hee. Is it just wishful thinking, or did our boy pretty specifically make this one of the best episodes? :)

Notes: You know how there are certain things that, realistically, the Fleet should have run out of after a couple of months, and yet five years later, they still have them? This is semi-serious crack about how that worked. Set early first season, somewhere around "Water."

Word Count: ~29,800
Rating: Between PG-13 and R, higher rating for violence. Sex fades to black extremely quickly.
Pairings: Mainly Gaeta/Cavil, with background pairings of Ellen/Cavil, the Tighs, and mentions of former male partners for Gaeta, including Baltar.
Summary: Before the attacks, Felix Gaeta knew Brother Cavil as the chaplain on the Galactica. On New Caprica, Cavil became an ideal source of information, and Felix was willing to do what he had to do to get it. But how deeply can you entangle someone in a web without catching yourself as well?
Notes: Written before viewing the Plan, but after reading spoilers. After checking BSG wiki, I'm very annoyed to find out that Cavil came aboard at a different time- I'd assumed he was the chaplain on Galactica from the series. Oh well, what the frak, it's an AU anyway. The title and the chapter titles are stolen from a song called "The Company" by Fish. Written for the bsgficexchange, before I got way too carried away, and happy late birthday to my recipient!
