This got me thinking of gaanarugaa and how in the beginning it seemed that Gaara was often shown topping Naruto. This trend seemed to shift, however, with the start of Shippuden, for obvious reasons. Now it seems too even to call. So I figured, since it has been a while since I've read gaanarugaa fic (shame on me!), I should ask this comm what the common trend has been lately.
