furuba_chorus, a lyrical Fruits Basket icontest. This is an icontest where the icon/s that you make must feature at least three consecutive words from song lyrics that will be provided at the start of the week. It's the same idea as clampchorus, except this is Fruits Basket themed. XDAt the start of each contest I will post a screened post which your icons will be submitted to. On this post, under a cut will be the song for the week. The icon/s that you make have to contain a phrase of at least three words from the song. If the title of the song is not included in the lyrics and you want to use the title as text on your icon, that is fine, providing it's more than two words long.
1. The icon/s you are submitting must be your own work.
2. You must use official art - fanart and doujinshi images are not allowed.
3. Please make sure your icon/s are new for the contest - don't post them anywhere else beforehand. This includes personal websites and userpics!
4. Do not vote for yourself, or advertise your icons.
5. Your icon has to meet the standard LJ size - i.e. no larger than 100x100 pixels or 40kb.
6. You have to be a member to take part in the challenges and to vote.
7. If you want you use someone else's icon after the challenge has finished, please ask them first.
8. Don't use text on your icon except for the lyrics that you are given.
9. The text you use must be clear enough to read.
Icon submission posts will be up at some time on Saturday. You have between that time and 6pm EST the following Friday to submit.
Please submit your icon to a screened post with this information:
-Your icon
-The icon's url

Voting is between 6 pm EST on Friday evening and 6 pm EST on Sunday evening.
In general you will be asked to vote for three icons, as well as a special category. Special Category will be one of the following:
-Best Adaptation
-Best Color
-Best Show of Emotion
-Best Typography
-Most Creative
Submit a reply to a screened post with the numbers of the icons you are voting for, like this:

The first icon you put down gets three points, then the next gets two, then the last gets one.
The icon with the msot points for special category will be awarded special category.
Do not vote for the same icon twice. If you do your vote will be discarded.
The winning icon is the one with most points at the end of voting. Banners are also awarded to second and third place icons, and the special category. There will usually be a mod's choice as well, if there are enough icons.
