A Little Dissapointed...
Hey again. So I finally got to the point where I could try on my head today and was vastly disappointed to find out that my movable jaw had become static. I didn't glue anything except the lower jaw to the elastic band and I avoided getting any more glue than absolutely necessary on the elastic, however, when I open my mouth the whole face pulls downward. Did the face of the balaclava become too stiff after I glued the foam to it? After looking around at some progress pictures from other people, I noticed that some of you cut the balaclava around the mouth area. Is that the only thing I'm not doing right? Or might it be something else?
Here's the head in question.
Oh, another thing I noticed...REALLY crooked when I put it on. =/ I forgot I goofed a bit and bunched up one side when sewing the elastic on. I might just go in and take some off one side and add on the other to even it out. If anyone knows a quicker fix...? (doubt it)
Trying it on! CRAZY LOPSIDED!
Good from the side at least...
Another question. Will it be a problem when furring if there are areas where the foam doesn't come flush to face, like around the eyes in my head? I'm just wondering if it will cause there to be a weird shape there.
