10:30 pm - Screwy hotel reservations again this year?

I noticed on the FWA site that the hotel was taking reservations for FWA 2010 so went to book so I wouldn't have to worry about it later. Like last year, it appears the Hilton is charging a full night as soon as you make the reservation. I know last year this was fixed when I pointed it out since it wasn't in the contract apparently, but has something changed this year? I e-mailed hotel@furryweekend.com about a week ago pointing this out and haven't received a reply yet. The below is what is on the reservation final confirmation screen before you finalize a reservation:
This reservation requires a credit card deposit of 159.85 USD per room and will be charged to your card by July 9, 2009. If you wish to cancel, please do so 3 days prior to arrival to avoid cancellation penalties.
The hotel info page doesn't mention a night being charged at the time of reservation, so, can someone check into this? 0.O

Just wanted to let you know of a few things for 2010.
First, I will be the FWA Fursuit Coordinator for 2010! If you have any suggestions or questions, please direct them to me via fursuiting@furryweekend.com.
Plans include making the "Green Room" into the full time Fursuit Lounge. This room is significantly bigger, and hopefully it will work out to provide a more centralized area for the fursuiters to hang out, dry and cool off a bit.
We'll have more fans, and a few head trees as well as lots of towels to help keep dry.
We're bringing back the Fursuit Meet and Greet - just didn't seem right without it last year.
We'll also continue the "Intro to Fursuiting" for our new fursuiters, as well as mentoring from a few of the fandom's old pros - it went amazingly well last year and we thank all those who mentored! Can't believe how many new fursuiters there are each year!
We'll also continue to provide the fursuit game room - a room with lots of toys for fursuiters to play with. The chandeliers might still be a problem, but we'll work on it..
Be on the lookout for FWA newsletters, and the FWA website for more information for the fursuiters! It's going to be a great year for FWA Carnaval - 2010!

Dealers room preregistration for last year's dealers is now open. If you were the dealer of record (the owner of the table) from last year, you should be receiving an email from me. If you don't receive it by tomorrow morning, please let me know.
Registration for new dealers will start on September 1st.

Hey all,
I apologize if this question was asked in the past, but I never caught it :)
Back at FWA '04 (the first year, I think), I remember the supersponsors getting a fennec plush as one of the membership gifts. I've looked around everywhere I know and I've yet to find plush fennecs that look as good as they do. I'm wondering... where did you guys get them from, and are they still for sale there?
Any info would be helpful; thanks!

I've noticed on FWA's website that hotel reservations have opened up, but I can't seem to find the dates of the convention itself ANYWHERE on the site. I'd like to start making my plans for this con, but it's hard to do so without any dates to work with.
If anyone has any information, or can link me to something I might have missed, I'd be grateful. :3

While we were kicking around the idea that several had for a "Furry Track" at Dragon*Con, FWA has not been contacted to help run such a thing, so at this point in time, we will not be hosting a Furry Track at Dragon*Con. If others want to pursue this, you are more than welcome.
We do still plan to be at Dragon*Con with an official FWA Fan Table. Please come down, say 'HI' and hang out with us a bit. Fursuiters are more than welcome to come hang out.

2:43 pm - Question for those who bought the Sub-Level 03 'Undercover" CD.

Well, I bought a copy of the CD from the Sub-Level 03 table at FWA and when I put the disc one of the Undercover CD in my computer to download it so I can listen to them on my PSP since I do not have a CD player, it came up with blank. There were no songs on it at all. I tried to download the second disc and it worked perfectly. I was wondering if anyone had the same problem who bought the Undercover CD?

Hey, I was trying to remember the name of some company in the dealer's den and drawing a blank. They weren't in the front hallway, but they were at the front of the main room. They had a gas mask shaped like...a wolf? dog? Anywho, it was a gas mask, there's couldn't have been many of those.
I was trying to think of who they were so I could find out more about their gas masks, so if anyone knows, I'd be glad for the info. :D
