Hi I am posting today for those who have joined the LJ but wish to know more about the cruise. The cruise started at MFF a few years ago as a random thought that Latin Vixen (famous fursuit maker) had about how cool it would be to get a group of furs together and go on vacation together aboard a cruise ship. The next year (2005) she ran with the idea and the furry cruise was born. The cruise itself is not a con, per say, but more along the lines of a week long furmeet. Each day we have access to all of the normal ship activities lounges dance clubs ect and each night after dinner we have access to one of the ships conference rooms to meet up talk draw stage fursuiting and just hang out. Think of a vacation with all your furry friends. The atmosphere is G-rated and very laid back with plenty to do, both with friends and on your own. Shore cruises are offered at each port of call and as with past years with Royal Caribbean, the boat is fursuit friendly with positive reactions from both the staff and the general ships guests. I do encourage anyone with questions about the cruise to contact me either hear or at furrycruise@comcast.net

I wanted to make a quick post in a fallow up to the 2008 cruise. As requested by our group coordinator on the ship I sent a few pictures to her of our group and our interactions with the guests on board the ship. I received this reply today and I thought I would share it with you all.
I got the pictures thanks a million
I send them to the office as well as a letter from a guest that was so thankful that you guys were there to make that cruise special for them, they mentioned that you guys were at the gangway when they returned to the ship.
This was great exposure for the group the office asked me to send some pics, so if you guys book again they would have info on your activities onboard.

This is in addition to her positive review of our group so once more I would like to thank everyone for making the 2008 Cruise such a success.
Now for 2009. I am currently talking to our travel agent about what is available for cruises and group rates with a tentative dates starting near Dec 4th and ending near Dec 14th at this time I am waiting to hear back from the travel agent about options for 2009 and I will place the available cruises up for a vote so I can judge interest and pick a cruise appropriate for this year. With luck I will have the information posted before the end of this month.
Thank you
Keet.

Hi everyone.
I do hope everyone on this list has been doing well its been a full couple months for my self after attending Furry Connection North. I was happy to run into a couple of you there and wanted to thank the con staff for giving me space to place an add for the cruise in the con book. Fore anyone new to the LJ I wanted to welcome you as well, it’s always nice to have new faces on the list weather you plan to attend this year or next. I also wanted to give everyone a friendly reminder today that the deadline for booking is coming up in a little under 3 months. Deposits of $100.00 per person must be paid prior to August 26th with the balance due by Sept. 20th 2009. Booking is on a first come first serve basis so the sooner you book the easer it will be for out travel agent to block us together.
