Totem animals
[info]polymathwannabe asked me to post this poll.

If your totem animal isn't on this list, and you want to vote, leave a comment with your totem.

If you have multiple totem animals (as I do!), choose the one that best represents you at this moment.

Poll #1211717 Totem Animals

Which other? Your icon looks like some kind of African wildcat.
Is that a Caracal sans ear tufts or Serval with pointier ears?

Sorry about that. The list is also missing fish, insects, and many other important animal categories. That's why comments are so important.
BTW - Quolls are adorable :)

Pfah, no birds. I'm offended.

No offense intended.
I just didn't know which birds to list, so instead of lumping them into one big generic category simply labeled 'birds', I figured it would be better to let people add specific types in their comments.

I got curious about the poll, so I replied as Dragon.

It's my position that humans are the larval form of dragons anyway. Any sufficiently powerful magician is going to alter his form to facilitate travel and avoid damage. The result always ends up being an armored flying creature that can inflict huge damage very quickly.

ha ha. larval dragons. ^___^ I like that

have you read "Roadmarks" by Roger Zelazny?

(Reply to this) (Parent)(Thread)

[info]harvey_rrit
2008-07-02 11:11 pm UTC (link)
Certainly. It may be what got the idea started in my head-- except that Zelazny had it the other way round.
Damn he was cool.

Interesting trivium about that book. Years earlier, someone was discussing "suspension of disbelief" and declaring that there are limits to what a story can do. The statement was something like:
"You can get the reader to accept dragons. You can get the reader to accept time travel. Nobody will accept time-traveling dragons."

Roger Zelazny was soooooo cool.
