Member Survey: Summoner_Alex
Epp, a newbie! Hello, I'm Michelle. I'm very excited to have been accepted, and want to thank the mods and say hi to everyone. :] I've gone ahead and filled out my member survey like a good girl, and you can find it -

1. What brought you to Full Moon Swaps? What part of a swap community for pagans and treehuggers caught your attention?
I believe I was doing an Interests search for 'pagan', which is something I do quite often because I am always on the lookout for active and interesting pagan communities on LJ. I'd never heard of a swap before and so was intrigued as to what, exactly, this community was for. The userinfo won me over and I immediately decided to try to join, even though I had forgotten I'd applied by the time I got around to being added. Go me!

2. How would you describe your religious/spiritual path?
When asked, I use the ( not really all that ) boring blanket term of Pagan. I feel it's the best way to describe myself and my beliefs, because while I follow my own special brand of ecclectic crazy, I am heavily influenced by various Pagan/Wiccan structures.

3. If pagan, do you have any particular patron/matron gods or goddesses you follow?
I don't have a particular patron/matron persay, though I have favorites mythologically rather than necessarily religiously. ( What a mouthful. ) Loki, Thor, Gwynn ap Nudd, Pan, Izanagi, Sutekh, and Baron La Croix are some of my favorite gods/masculine spirits/powers. Morrigan, Persephone, Erzulie Dantor, Freya, Izanami, Amaterasu, and Kali are some of my favorite godesses/feminine spirits/powers. As you can see, I am a pantheon spanner.

4. What are your favorite colors/patterns? What’s your personal aesthetic?
Despite the fact that I wear nothing but black and green, I adore pretty much every color out there. The more of a rainbow-y vomitous eyesore something is, the more likely I am to love it. If I had to choose, I would say my favorite colors are forest green, red and really light, oceanic shades of blue. Yes, I am picky. As far as patterns go, I am a plaid person. My personal aesthetic is all over the place.

5. When’s your birthday?
January 26, 1990. I am a '90's baby through and through as well as the most stereotypical Aquarius you are ever likely to meet.

6. Many of our members enjoy making or buying jewelry for their partners. What sizes of rings, necklaces, bracelets do you wear? Do you have any metal allergies or preferences we should know about?
I am a curvy girl and so jewelry sizes ought to reflect that. I'm fuzzy on exact ring sizes because I don't wear them, and after a quick google it seems like a 6-7 or larger might work well. As for necklaces and bracelets, I honestly have no idea, so chances are that bigger equals better. Also, silver > gold.

7. Are there any items that, for any reason at all, you do not want to receive? If so, what are they?
Body parts. Then again...

8. Do you have any favorite plants or animals?
Absolutely every type of lily ever, though tiger lilies are a special favorite. I also love white amaryllis belladonna even though I can't seem to grow it for the life of me. My favorite animal is a toss-up between the vastly misunderstood rat and the totally awesome giraffe, with the red panda and welsh corgi coming in at a close second and third.

9. What are your favorite hobbies?
I'm geeky, so I love video games, comic books, and tinkering with my computer. I'm also a big reader and linguistics buff; I'm studying French at university and I hope to learn as many languages as possible in the next few years. Crocheting, drawing and painting are also things I do in my spare time, though if I'm crafting it's usually in order to replicate something from a book or movie that I enjoy.

10. Do you have any animal companions? If so, who/what are they?
I had a rat that I considered more of a companion than a pet, but she died a few months ago. Now I only have my pet beagle, Lt. Konrad von Bagel, who is adorable and stubborn and I love him to death.

11. List ten adjectives to describe things you’d love to receive in a swap. (i.e. red, fuzzy, etc)
Adventurous, mysterious, creepy, peculiar, humorous, thoughtful, useful, informative, shiny, piratesque.

12. Do you collect anything in particular?
I collect memories, which sounds really awesome but only means that I collect odds and ends that remind me of special days or times or people. I have a whole drawer full of photographs, notes, cards, broken toys, bits of rock, dried markers, pieces of string and empty bottles that I've hoarded over the years.

13. Do you work with any divination systems? If so, what are they? If you read Tarot or other oracular card systems , what deck(s) do you use.?
I have runes that I wish I used more regularly, yes/no stones that I use more than anything, and a scrying pendulum. I've also got a deck of Celtic oracle cards that I'm interested in learning how to use. My current Tarot deck is the Arthurian Tarot, but my preferred deck that I no longer have is the Mythic Tarot ( which I highly reccommend to anyone and everyone; it's an excellent deck ).

14. How do you feel about incense, candles, and tea? Likes, dislikes, preferences? (These are very popular swap items!)
Love 'em all.

15. Do you have any online wishlists you’re willing to share? If so, link them here.
No, sorry. None of that.

16. Do you do any arts/crafts work? If so, what type?
I dabble in pretty much everything. I draw, sketch, paint, do graphical work with Photoshop, and do digital pieces with OpenCanvas. I also sculpt on occassion, crochet, knit ( poorly ), and make jewelry. I've recently bought a camera so that I can learn how to become a better photographer, because as it stands, I am terrible.

17. Describe your living environment. Do you have access to any outdoor space? How about storage space?
I live in a trailer park in the country, so I have access to a lot of very beautiful countryside and forestry. I've also got a huge and beautiful yard, but unfortunately little to no privacy outdoors. I do most of my work in my room, which is tiny but workable when it's clean. The most storage space I have is in my closet, so, not that much.

18. Anything else you’d like to share about yourself? Career, family...anything we left out? Ramble on!
Hm. Nothing I can think of!
