AU: Image (Watari, Tatsumi)
Another sequel to Hisho no Kage. Read it first.
Characters: Watari, Tatsumi

IMAGE

Tatsumi can't remember much of what he looks like-- brown hair, blue eyes and a preference for suits are all he has told Watari.

Mother's one file photograph confirms this, but says little more. Tatsumi's apartment, sealed since his accident, has several suits but no pictures at all.

Watari gets along with Tsuzuki until certain persons are mentioned. After twenty minutes of yelling, he learns Tsuzuki destroyed his photographs.

After that, tea with the Earl is almost pleasant. His media collection is extensive, confirming Watari's suspicions about Tsuzuki and Tatsumi's partnership.

But he didn't expect Tatsumi to be so hot.

Smart man, the Earl. I had a whole scenario in my head of Tatsumi pulling up an image for him, but that was fairly late last night and this is far more logical!

We actually have plot all the way through Kyoto arc and beyond into where we want to be writing.

Watari probably gives Tatsumi access to the photographs where he's wearing a lot, but keeps the others heavily locked on the computer system.

This AU is so much fun!

We do get Bon.

Tatsumi can see, only in monochrome, but he can see. Watari just isn't sharing the naked pictures just yet. Possibly not until there is Bon around, though that will be unrelated.

We don't mind if you're plotting stuff, but we really don't want anyone else posting stuff from this AU. We have lots of ideas and, well, coordinating that with someone else would be difficult. You've said 'only for your own amusement', which is fine. We're not trying to be bitchy, it's just we really, really like this AU and have all these stories to tell, you know?

Tatsumi can leave the office, but he has to concentrate to remain conscious/coherent/cohesive. Lots of light makes this difficult, familiar settings/people (to concentrate on) make this easier.

Or even turn my brain off. Or spell, apparently. I write fanfic in my head for "The Other Side of Twilight," too. In part, it's just the way I speculate, in part it's because you plotty writers take too long to get to the hot sex the things I want to 'see.'

I see LD has already leapt in. We've played with "The Other Side of Twilight", too.

*g* I have to laugh at the implication I'm a 'plotty writer'. All my WIPs are glorified PWPs. This whole AU came about as I expanded the context behind a particular PWP.

I suppose I haven't posted anything that explicit yet, but watch my journal and [info]yamifics for 'Small Mercies'... probably in the next 24 hours. I write PWP.

I'm loving this concept, and I bet I'm gonna love the fic. It's just neat to see a Tatsumi who isn't all angst-ridden about what happened between him and Tsuzuki-- who's dealing with it, and everything that goes along with it. And your Watari is so splendid. Where will you be posting the fic, when you finish it?

We're hoping to get it into KatCom... but that will have to wait until we finish it, obviously.

And we don't know when we'll finish it. Hopefully before the end of January, though that's just a hope. We write longer things much, much slower.
