This is just sick.
Article about how mom's are taking their little girls 9-12 to get bikini waxes and other expensive spa treatments.

Thanks to [info]kittytreats for the link.

I don't agree how the article portrays these spa treatments for women and not children. I don't think it's right for anybody, no matter the age, to be so concerned with unimportant physical issues like PERFECT eyebrows and MANICURED nails.
But that was a really great article, thanks for posting it.
It's sad that all these moms can't think of anything else to do to bond with their daughters but go to the spa. What about taking a walk every evening to talk about their day, or cook together, or take up art classes or fucking something else.
I agree with the writer that physically awkward phases (like puberty) build up a personal acceptance. I had very severe acne when I was younger. After two years, my mom finally took me to the dermatologist who prescribed some nasty antibiotics that made me sick. So I learned to look past my bad skin, and through my confidence I feel like I actually look better.
I can't imagine being 8 years old and someone telling me that I should get hot wax applied to my "privates" and RIPPED off. Kids should be concerned with making friends and learning in school and being happy that they're not yet phased by society.

Also, do any other these daughters have fathers? Do any of these women have husbands?
Don't they have some influence in their lives telling them that they're beautiful no matter what?

Not only that, but why aren't the mothers trying to tell them that they are beautiful? Friends? Family?

Sad, ridiculous.

probably because the mom's have such an obscured vision of the human body that they have to push themselves to a disgusting extreme of "maintainence".
ahhh it makes me get goosebumps.
