Welcome to the A Bit of Fry and Laurie appreciation community!
Rules:
1. NO BASHING! The show or each other. We play nice here. Just because Stephen hit Hugh on no less than a startling five occasions in the first season alone, it doesn't mean that we should reach our fist through our computer screens and smack somebody with whom we disagree. It's far too painful stretching our arms like that, anyway.
2. Posting icons, wallpapers, and pictures is fine - encouraged, even! Just remember that some people have slooooooooooow connections and large images may take a long time. If you have a rather large picture (or several at one time), PLEASE post it behind an LJ cut. (If you don't know how to make a cut [or other aspects of LJ], check out LJ's FAQ.)
3. Post in English. Please. By English I mean, ENGLISH. Plz dunt TYPe lyk dis oar LiKe ThIs. It's painful to the eyes and brain. We don't need to decipher posts. If you're want to post lyk dis, plz juz pst n unaother langwedge.
4. Try to keep it clean. Kiddos might read this. Yes, sex is prominent in British comedy; therefore, it's expected that there will be some innuendo. It's okay. We can post about it; however, if you're going to post something rather sexually explicit, please use an LJ cut AND post in the message that there may be something somebody somewhere may not appreciate.
5. It's OKAY if you want to promote a new community; HOWEVER, keep it Stephen Fry, Hugh Laurie, Fry and Laurie - basically anything to do with Stephen, Hugh, or both - ONLY. I don't want spam from
that1dudefromdat1movie.6. HAVE FUN! A Bit of Fry and Laurie is a COMEDY show! It's meant to make us laugh. Sometimes even just thinking about a sketch can have us keeling over with laughter. It's a great feeling. Let's bring that emotion to this community! (Damn, that sounded so uplifting. I may have to go shoot myself.)
