Spore! <3
Hi, everyone! :3

As you may or may not know, the full version of Spore's Creature Creator was released sometime this week. (If you don't know what Spore is, click on the link I just gave and click on "What is Spore"--the Creature Creator and Spore sections can explain it way better than I can.)

Since then, a few things have been uploaded to the official site that I think people here may be interested in. :D Before it even officially came out, I was looking for random fun aliens that people had made; I just recently searched again for Star Control and... well, I'll show you.

I'll start off with this, which is admittedly not all that great. I can say this because I'm the one that made it. |D It's a work in progress! I had to help my mom take care of screaming daycare kids and was unable to finish it, but I'm hoping to make it look as much like a VUX as I can (it's actually really fun for some reason). It's got full charm points, and it is funny to watch it dance. :D

Next, we have several Spathi creations. All of them are different, which I think is cool.

Then there are the Yehat, the Orz, the Thraddash, the Ilwrath, and a couple Ur-Quan creations.

That's all I could find for now, but I just thought it was cool that within a few days of it being released, there were people making SC2 aliens. :o (I guess I shouldn't have been surprised, though, since you can find anything from Pikmin to puppies to Pokemon.)

Also! I have no idea what to tag this as. So... I'm just going to tag it with the species names and hope that is okay.

The Orz is great, and the Yehat, but the thraddash is my favourite because I love the Thraddash SO. MUCH. and you got the face exactly right.

Man everyone is making such cool stuff with this thing :o

I didn't make those. |D;;; I'm sorry if I made it sound like I did, I probably wasn't clear enough.
But the person that made it did do an awesome job, you're right.

I know, it's so cool to just look at random creations and see how they're all different. :3

dkfjasd man those are so awesome

My laptop absolutely refuses to run the Creature Creator, and after she spent a week trying to get rid of a virus for me I don't think my mother would be all that inclined to let me download it on her computer. WOE.

The Thraddash is great, as is the second Ur-Quan and dkafsjdf that Orz :D

I know, they're so great~!

It says something about how my graphics card is too low or something? And I have DirectX10, so I dunno. It won't even load. I try to run it and after a few seconds the little "CAN'T RUN YOU SUCK" message pops up (I may be paraphrasing a bit) and it quits. Sob.

I think DirectX is just the driver... if it's talking about your graphics card maybe it's your hardware that's not high enough to run it. :O

The Orz is my favourite right now. :o I think it's partially because the design itself is kind of simple, so it's easier to make, but either way it's awesome.

Really? That's weird, because I can still see it... hm. If you go to the search box and type in "Star Control", it should be on the first page.

D: Oh no! There are some really cool ones, too. Will it let you search for Star Control in the little search box at Spore.com? If it will, most of them are on the first page.

Making creatures to look like pre-existing aliens is oddly fun! Good luck making some, it can be difficult with the limits the parts have (but it makes a fun challenge :D).

Combined screenshot for all the people saying it's not loading. :O

Also, if you click the link and all that comes up are search results, then for some reason it will actually take you to the right one if you click on the 2 to go to the second page of results. :O And! this is a great Spathi, too. (Here's a thumbnail.) And Pkunk! (thumb)
