AboutWelcome to the Friendly Eugene! I definitely do not mean to imply that the other Eugene related communities are unfriendly, but I hoped to create a community where anyone interested in Eugene could come and ask for help with, well, anything. Restaurant recommendations, outing ideas, babysitting, movie tips, how to potty train the puppy, anything any Eugenian could need. Also feel free to post things for sale or trade, interesting news articles or pictures, Eugene/Salem/Portland related concert info, rideshares, warnings, anything at all. I'm hoping this community will end up being like damnportlanders, with a lot of involved members all helping each other out in a nice, friendly way. That being said, please observe the community rules (which are minimal):
1. Please keep non work safe or 56k unfriendly content off of the main page. Learn the art of the lj-cut and cut pictures, super long explanations, and/or potentially offensive writing.
2. No flamewars! This is FRIENDLY Eugene! Keep flamewars to your email accounts or personal journals.
3. While you may feel free to post community promotions, please consider whether the community would genuinely interest Eugenians before you post. Please do NOT post promotions related to rating communities or communities that require that you promote them before you can join. That's just lame spammage.
