[info]freshmakers is a moderated access community dedicated to presenting quality resources to the LJ graphics community.

How do I become a member?

Membership is by invitation only and for resource makers only. Please do not try and join the community; your request will be rejected. There will be no application process, and applications will not be accepted in comments or by email. If your work is without compare, keep posting it at the regular resource communities and we'll find it eventually.

Do I need to be a member to use the resources?

Of course not! Feel free to friend the community to keep track of the goings-on here. Please do not try to join the community; your request will be rejected. Please remember to follow the terms of use set out by each individual member.

Posting Rules

  1. Only graphics resources may be posted in this community.
    Types of acceptable resources: textures, patterns, brushes, gradients, custom shapes, etc.
    Types of unacceptable resources: actions, tutorials, screencaps, icons. Also, absolutely NO text brushes and NO dotted line brushes. Period. Even if you're fond of making them, please don't post them here.

  2. Clearly label the contents of your posts.
    Please list how many and what kinds of resources you have in your post, i.e. "3 brush sets, 2 texture packs, 1 gradient set." If your resource is software specific, please label which program it is for (i.e. Photoshop 7 patterns, Paint Shop Pro 9 brushes, etc.).

  3. Post a preview image.
    Please post a preview image of your resource(s). If you are posting multiple resources, please post only the first preview image and LJ-cut the rest. Preview images should be no larger than 400px wide and 500px tall; anything larger should go under a cut.

  4. Label your entries with LJ tags.
    There is a pre-set list of tags to choose from when labelling your resources:
    brushes (icon sized)
    brushes (other)
    textures (icon sized)
    textures (other)
    gradients
    patterns
    custom shapes

  5. Use LJ-cuts liberally.
    If you are posting your resources directly to the community, please use LJ-cuts where appropriate. If you do not know what an LJ-cut is, please familiarize yourself.

  6. Do not link to resources in a locked journal.
    Just don't do it. You may, however, link to public posts in personal journals / communities.

  7. One post per member per day.
    If you have three or four items to post, please post them all in one entry, do not make multiple entries.
Posts that do not follow these rules will be deleted without warning. Serial offenders will be placed on a 30-day suspension, followed by removal from the community for repeated offenses. [Rules can and will change at the behest of the maintainer.]

What's with the community name?

The brainchild of [info]nardasarmy, it's a reference to the Mentos commerical and this community hopes to be refreshing take on the standard resource community. Or something. :)
