“Illustrated Oddities” at Savant Project

There’s no better way to end a Tuesday than by sucking down sangría and truffled
polenta logs in the cozy copper-plated confines of the Savant Project — unless
it’s doing the same in the company of a bounty hunter riding a frozen corpse
(Cold Rush), anthropomorphic bubble-wrap bubbles recoiling in terror from a
questing finger (Fantaisie in Bubblewrap), or a mysterious photograph that
reveals murder most foul (The Facts in the Case of Mister Hollow). The
Boston Underground Film Festival reprises its “Illustrated Oddities” animation
showcase, with 11 nuggets of beauty and weirdness, at 1625 Tremont St, Boston |

* The BPL Copley Square has a drag movie series, starting with "Queen Christina" on Thursday.
* MIT will show "Examined Life" on Thursday night.

MIT LVAC Film Screening: Contempt (Le Mépris) 6/18 at 7 pm
I'm not sure why this was left off the MIT main calendar, but there's a good film showing at MIT on Thursday:

Thursday, June 18, Bartos Theatre, 7PM
LVAC Film Night Screening
Contempt (Le Mépris), directed by Jean Luc Godard, (France 1963, 103 min.)

Godard's classic  film Contempt (Le Mépris) stars Michel Piccoli as a screenwriter torn between the demands of a proud European director (played by legendary director Fritz Lang), a crude and arrogant American producer (Jack Palance), and his disillusioned wife, Camille (Brigitte Bardot), as he attempts to doctor the script for a new film version of The Odyssey.

The program is FREE and open to the general public.
