This may be of help to those who need screencaps for Freaks and Geeks. This site has screencaps of all 18 episodes. I stumbled upon it while looking for images of the show to make the cover of a fanmix I was putting together. It could be of use to iconmakers out there. |

| Two questions about Lindsay Weir |

Hi there! I'm hoping somebody else has a better sense of the details than I do - it's been a while and my first few episodes that I rewatched trying to get answers for these sort of let me down.
(1) Does anybody know what year of school Lindsay was supposed to be in? Sophomore or junior, do you think?
(2) Did they ever give her dead grandmother an actual NAME?

Friends have been telling me to watch Freaks and Geeks for quite awhile now. I remembered hearing about the show back when I was in high school, but I didn't pay any attention to it. Then, Judd Apatow became famous and started making hilarious movies with Seth Rogen, James Franco and Jason Segel, so my interest was peaked again.
I finally decided to give it a shot, so I asked for it for Christmas this year and I got it. I just finished episode five ("Tests and Breasts") and it's pretty safe to say that I love this show. A lot.
It takes such a realistic approach to high school and I love that the entire plot revolves around the underdogs, as opposed to the pretty and popular 90210 crowd. Each character feels genuine and the show can be both hilarious and heartbreaking at the same time. It made me both miss my own experiences in high school while at the same time making me feel glad that all that bullshit is over and done with.
It's such a shame that there are only eighteen episodes. I'm so tempted to just marathon the show because I can't get enough, but at the same time I really want to watch it as slowly as I possibly can because I know it will end soon.
Anyway, I just wanted to say that I'm glad that there is still an active LJ community devoted to this wonderful show so that new fans like me can still find people to discuss all the freaks and geeks. |

so the other night, my boyfriend and i rented drillbit taylor. has anyone else seen it?
several freaks and geeks references in that film.
seth rogen is one of the writers and it was produced in part by apatow productions.
i thought it was pretty funny, too. check it out maybe :) |
