Sisters. We love them. We dream about them. They hold some mystical fascination for us, and with good reason. When sisterly voices conjoin the vibration that arises goes beyond even metaphysical explanation. It enters our cores and seemingly, if momentarily, triples our double helixes. That’s solid science, friends. Thank goodness then the Spears sisters don’t have any designs on a duo record
any time soon. Such core breaches must be avoided at all cost! If any sister duo could contain such a disaster it would be Lindsay and Alexis Powell, otherwise known as Festival. Tribal drone, backwoods spiritual, basement psychedelia, hilltop roots romp…whatever element they touch upon filters through the genetics of sisterly song and descends on eager ears like a misty rain. But hey, if you’re at all in doubt, ask them to do their rendition of the song from The Jerk Believers you shall become.

it looks like crossposters have been counterproductive to the close-knit community atmosphere we have been trying to foster here. i don't blame anyone for being upset about it. there's no surefire way to stop it completely, but i'm doing what i can to prevent it.
i've contacted the maintainers of other forums and communities where our links are popping up and asked for their assistance in identifying the culprits. they will be removed and banned.
as an additional countermeasure, i've pruned the memberlist. if
redmarshgrass didn't invite you, i don't know you, or you haven't posted anything before, you're no longer a member. i'm sure i cut a lot of innocent people, but the community comes first, and i'm not taking risks.
for our members who must pay special attention to their bandwidth or have other concerns about privacy, please try using link-protector.com to make your files accessible only from http://community.livejournal.com/freakf olk/. this is not mandatory, but if you choose to use this service, you don't have to use an anonymizer (it does it for you).
