| Frank the Comic will return on October 7th! |
[May. 19th, 2008|04:10 pm] |

With the recent reshuffling of LiveJournal, it's been hard to correspond with anyone about the future of Frank the Comic... especially since I don't know who to correspond WITH anymore. But I've decided that Frank will return this fall, and his unfinished horror story "The Tag" will be done by Halloween. |

Yes, the comic has been delayed a lot longer than I said it would. Since going full time as an artist, I've had so many projects going that I haven't been able to get the comic up and rolling again. But The Tag will be concluded.... sometime. |

Troll listens to Noosehead.
In about 24 hours, I'll be off and mostly incommunicado for the rest of the year as I road trip around India, and film episodes of my upcoming adventure show!
Everyone here who hasn't already done so, please send me mission ideas! More info here.
I'm gonna try my darnedest tomorrow morning to get 2 more Frank comics done and off to someone who can post them for me, but if not I apologize in advance if any updates are missed. |

As of right now, none of the butler's 'sponsored links' seem to be real sites, but if some domain parking company buys them up after I post this, this comic does not imply an endorsement of them. Although if someone does buy a domain just because I mentioned it in a comic, I would know I've made it.
Could anyone name all of the website mascots that the butler had targeted for extermination along his back wall in last week's comic (that I recently uploaded an updated version of)? Or better yet, can anyone name any website mascots I forgot? |

These guys have a terrible habit of fleeing crime scenes without getting help. |

Thus concludes "I'm Sorry I didn't Update For a Month Guilt Week", regularly weekly updates will return on Thursday. Once I turn to comics full time next year, I hope to be able to update much more often and much more regularly. |

Judging by some of the news comments I've read, some may consider those two options to be pretty much the same thing. Look at lil' Fran, all growed up and cursed by evil demons. But wait, if you can only save one person, and Frank has been tagged twice..... |

I hope everyone had a Happy Thanksgiving! Even non-Americans can celebrate the true spirit of this holiday, which is EATING UNTIL YOU CANNOT EAT ANYMORE.* I tried to recreate last year's Thanksgiving on the Highway. It wasn't exactly as heartwarming this year. More like a Battle Royale. The elbows to the face were all captured on video. More in an upcoming episode of The Ryan Estrada Expeditions
Oh, and Six Apart has more clues on the groovy Ellen mystery.
*(and then continuing to eat) |

cowboy_r caught a Frank cameo in Ellen's new American Express commercial. Listen in right around the middle when she asks "Had lunch yet Frank?"
...but wait.... is that a photo of Meme in Frank's locker????
What's your vote, coincidence or reference? |

[Nov. 14th, 2006|01:39 pm] |

As I'm sure you've all noticed, Frank: The Comic has been on a bit of a break while I've been finishing up a number of other projects. (when I disappear, explanations will usually be found at ryanestrada if I'd realized how long I was gonna be tied up I'd have posted something here, sorry.)
Frank will be back on Monday, November 20th and will update for 7 days straight to make up for the missed updates.
In the mean time, you can help me out with my next project! |

Oh, sweet internet. I've been offline for the last week, and my apartment is still not back online. To make it up to you, I will be updating at least twice a week from now until the end of the storyline.
Uh oh..... memethesheep has posted the tag on HER journal? I hope this doesn't get out of hand..... |

Man, every time these guys get together this happens.
Do not let the fact that I drew Hare's skull too small fool you. Allow me to paraphrase Dickens for a moment. "There is no doubt that Hare is dead. This must be distinctly understood, or nothing wonderful can come of the story I am going to relate. If we were not perfectly convinced that Hamlet's Father died before the play began, there would be nothing more remarkable in his taking a stroll at night, in an easterly wind, upon his own ramparts, than there would be in any other middle-aged gentleman rashly turning out after dark in a breezy spot -- say Saint Paul's Churchyard for instance -- literally to astonish his son's weak mind."
Sorry for the late post. For the last week I have not so much as slept, as I have spent every waking moment of the day doing one of the least awesome things you could ever do, and every moment during the night doing one of the most awesome things you can do.
For those wondering: one of the least awesome things you can do is apartment-hunting in India. One of the most awesome things you can do is to convince the world's largest financial institution to orchestrate a coverage plan that effects representatives on multiple continents to allow for time off for an entire department so that you can spend a week teaching them how to be ninjas. |

I get impatient sometimes. Here's a way early comic for this week.
If I were gonna add Teen Girl Squadesque sound effects to this strip, the one for that last panel would be "DREW BARRYMORE'D!" |

Sorry for the announced break between storylines.... but here's part 1 of The Tag!

We begin our tale during "guy's night" over at Tex's with talk of urban legends of the online order. They had to play BS instead of Poker because of Tex's addiction. Also because BS is the only card game I know how to play so it's the only one I could write dialogue about.
And yes, the boys have learned to speak normally. The black text bubbles represented an inability to communicate, but now that they've become more social they talk just like Frank.
